Archer: "Hey all, here I'm going to be explaining who's going to be in the harem and how aura is going to work in this story as it's updated."

Jack: "I'll take over here, in the harem is:
Ruby
Weiss (Eventually)
Blake
Yang
Pyrrha
Neo (Eventually)
A lovely spread of girls, don't you agree?"

Archer: "Yes, yes, anyone onto how aura will be working."

Aura - The actual pool of energy of which actions and techniques draw from. Everyone has aura at birth no need to unlock it as it is linked with the soul.

Semblance - A unique power (unless hereditary) that uses small amounts of aura when properly trained with. If pushed to an extent beyond the persons ability it will drain Aura much faster.

Aura Field (Just called Aura when used) - The barrier that stops huntsmen from actually being damaged. It doesn't stop pain however. It can be turned on and off and when turned on or off it glows unless it is done slowly (and only people who have trained to do this can.)

Boost - Aura can be used to enhance one's own ability's, strength, speed, etc temporarily.

The average person can't do any of these however as they do not know how. Anyone, with enough time and practice could learn these techniques and others to use their aura on. However this is difficult and dangerous to do through trial and error so the combat schools are there to teach about basic aura use in the first year all the way to the variety of ways to use it later on the years.

Of course (Y/N) is an exception, his aura has been inverted into his soul so it is always empty but it means he can always come back. Luckily his ability's are also enhanced slightly just not to the extent of someone who focused on enhancing them.
