In this story The dragon slayers (except laxus) are naturally born dragons, yep that's right, they all hatched out of a egg from there dragons. As said in the description they were the only children to survive. Since Natsu is the dragon prince he is bigger than the other 4, Gajeel is second tallest, then there's Sting, then Rouge, and finally Wendy. Natsu is taller then Lucy, Gajeel is up to her eyes, stings to her mouth, Rouge to her shoulder, and Wendys up to her elbow. You might be wondering "How are they that tall if they are children?" Well when they hatch there the same size of a exceed, when they learn how fly they are the same size as Makarov (is that how you spell it?) Then when they are ten they grow to the size they are now, some faster than others, they all know how to speak human. Since Natsu is the dragon prince they all follow his orders, they are all taught that at a very young age.
