I woke up the next morning in Ashton's bed. I turned to my right to see the empty space next to me. I wasn't sure where I'd left my phone but I wanted to stay as far away from it as I could.
I knew my parents would be ringing me to find out where I was and part of me wanted to find my phone and tell them I was okay because I knew they would be worried, but deep down I knew they would only be worried because that's what was expected of them. Parents were meant to be worried, that was there job, but any other time they didn't care about what I was doing. It's only because I'm meant to be at school that they would be worried. Everything revolved around school. I hadn't told them about me skipping school the day after my party because I knew they wouldn't be happy. I was going to try and leave it as long as possible before I got in touch with them today.
I sat up rubbing my eyes, slightly confused on where Ashton was. He was in the bed next to me when I went to sleep but he definitely wasn't there now.
I got out of the bed, still wearing the sweatpants that Ashton let me borrow the night before. I kept complaining that I was uncomfortable in my skirt so he let me borrow a pair of his baggy sweatpants that were too big for me just to shut me up.
I walked around the edge of the bed to find Ashton asleep on the floor. His head was resting on a pillow and he was covered in blankets. He looked like a small child who had just crashed on the floor because they were so tired.
I snuck out of Ashton's bedroom, trying not to wake him up as I walked down the hallway to the bathroom. I used the toilet and removed my make up from the night before. I hated sleeping in my make up but I had no choice. I'd probably break out with loads of spots now.
I finished in the bathroom and walked back to Ashton's room quietly. I couldn't hear anyone else in the house, I guess Ashton's parents had already left for work. I hadn't met them last night but I'm sure they knew Ashton had someone in the house with him. Especially because I couldn't stop giggling. I wasn't even sure if they knew that I'd slept over.
I walked into Ashton's room to find Ashton still asleep on the floor. I climbed back onto his bed and wrapped myself in the duvet, looking around Ashton's room and taking in the posters on his walls. Half of the bands I'd never heard of or I just didn't listen to.
Apart from the posters on the wall, Ashton's room was pretty plain. The room was really small compared to mine and the walls were a cream colour. He also had a wardrobe, a dresser and small tv with an xbox.
After taking in the limited things in Ashton's room, I began thinking about what had happened yesterday. It all happened so quickly. One minute I was shopping, then a couple of hours later I was making out with Ashton on a beach. Then again when we got home. And again before we went to bed, but that's as far as it went. No sex.
Surprisingly Ashton wasn't pushy for sex like I thought he would be. He was happy just making out.
I was still surprised that he'd slept on the floor, even though he wasn't pushing me to sleep with him, I thought he would have wanted to share a bed with me.
I pulled the black covers around me tighter as I sat up right in Ashton's bed. I couldn't believe that I was skipping school because I was sat in a guy's bed. My parents would kill me if they knew.
I could feel my eyes closing because of my late night, but Ashton stirring on the floor stunned me. He groaned as he stretched his arms up in the air, then he sat up so I could see his head.
"Morning," I said quietly.
"Morning," he replied in his croaky morning voice.
"Why did you sleep there?" I chuckled as I freed myself from the duvet and crawled over to the edge of the bed closest to Ashton.
