"Well there's another festival coming up next Thursday for thanksgiving, did you want to go?" With me?" He asked hopefully. "I'd love to Luke, now if you don't mind I need to get back to work, I'll talk to you later alright?" As you exited the room Luke couldn't help but be happy, maybe you two would end up alright.

Was this a date, I mean he asked you out. Right? The festival counted as a date at least to Luke, and it was more of a carnival than a festival. It was on the pier, and he was planning to kiss you when you two reached the top of the ferris wheel, cliche, but very cute. He planned to pick you up early so that you two could have fun all day on the pier. He knew that you'd probably not want to have someone cover for you for a long time again, but he had it covered this time, he talked to your friend who was really excited for you and was happy to cover. You brought out the playful side in Luke, the part that had been suppressed due to his studies. Even his brothers could tell that he was happier with you, even though it had only been a few days. When Thursday came around, he was excited. Like 5 year old on Christmas excited.

He couldn't wait to go and get you, it was currently 7am and the carnival opened at 10, but he had bribed with a magnificent donation arranged for them to open a little bit early for you two. When he got to your room, you were still sleeping, so he sat on your bed and gently shook you awake. Boy were you surprised to see him so early in the morning. "C'mon get up, we have a full day and no time to waste." He was sitting you up and pushing you towards the bathroom. "Luke? What's happening. It's so early." You grumbled, still heading to get ready. "The carnival is opening a little early for us today so we have to get a move on!" he smiled, going to wait on your bed as you got ready. And 20 minutes later you were done, and heading off to the pier. "I'm gonna beat you at ring toss" was the first thing he said when you two entered. "You're on noodle legs."

As you two walked through the carnival, you and Luke played games, and he even won you a stuffed monkey. When 10 o'clock rolled around, other people started arriving, some staring at the prince and his date walking around the pier, and others even came up to him and asked for a picture or even his opinion on some social issues. Luke loved when people talked to him, he loved hearing what people had to say, and if they had concerns or changes, he would bring them to his father's attention. You two spent the entire day eating snacks, playing games, and riding the occasional ride. The last ride being the ferris wheel, this was Luke's doing, he wanted to ride it right at sunset so that when he could recall the memory, it would just be full of cliches. And when you two got to the top, it wasn't exactly how he wanted it, sure he did kiss you, but the couple opposite of you sure did look like they felt awkward. But you two didn't care, you had each other.
