Shortly after Kris got back, he caught us mid kiss and it was pretty awkward. Haden decided to sit with his brother on a chair so I laid on the couch and watched them bicker.
Haden broke out the icecream, but I had had enough icecream the other night, so I declined.
Now they sit on a chair together, Haden on top of Kris, turned slightly so he could look right at me. and they fed each other ice cream, wiping it on each other's faces and laughing.
"Are you sure you don't want some, Hadlie?" Kris offered after taking a rather big bite.
I stretched out and attempted to suppress a yawn; failing miserably. "Nah, I'm to tired for ice cream." I muttered as I rested my head on a pillow, closing my eyes.
"It's a bit early to want to go to bed." Kris said with a laugh.
"It's nearly ten!" I objected. "It's plenty late." Not really, young people were supposed to stay up all night and party. But honestly sleep sounded far better.
"We can go to bed soon." Haden said as he took the ice cream back to the freezer even though Kris protested loudly. "We have school in the morning, after all."
Kris's groaned and sunk off his chair onto the floor, laying there motionlessly. "I don't wanna."
"To bad for you." Haden said with a laugh as he grabbed himself a sprite and plopped down never to me, his arm wrapping around my shoulder.
It still felt awkward to show any type of affection in front of Kris; knowing he had feelings for me. I didn't like making people feel uncomfortable. And how could he not? I sure did.
"I'm glad you two are together." Kris said softly, interrupting my thought.
"And whys that?" Haden asked, sipping his soda.
"Because you two look really good together." A small smirk pulled at his lips, "I would know. I've imagined myself with her for a while." He laughed, way to make things not awkward, Kris.
I felt my cheeks burn red, "I swear you guys do this to embarrass me."
"You're sleeping over, what's more embarrassing; Me saying that or me telling you that I know exactly what's going to go on in that bedroom tonight?" He looked over at me from his laying position on the floor.
My mouth dropped open, my cheeks turning even more red then they were. "Why- what- how- why would you think we would do anything like that?!"
His look switched to slightly confused, "because you're dating? That's what dating people do."
I looked down at the floor, my hands twisting around each other. "Well I..." I huffed a sigh. "I'm going to bed. Good night Kris." I said loudly as I walked off to the bathroom.
"Good night, Hadlie!" He said as he laughed.
I brushed my hair, my teeth, and then retreated to the bedroom.
I curled up under the blankets and rest my head on a fluffy pillow. We had school tomorrow, but I was happy I was spending the night with Haden.
I nuzzled into the pillow and pulled the blankets to my face, closing my eyes and smiling as I breathed in his scent.
I felt a motion of the bed, the covers shift, and arms wrap around me, pulling me back. It wasn't completely dark, there was the lava lamp not to far off.
"Hey." Haden whispered in my ear, kissing my cheek lightly.
"Hey." I said with a smile plastered on my face.
"So how tired are you really?"
I yawned, "pretty wiped out, babe."
He paused, "you called me babe..."
"I..." I wasn't sure if the tone in his voice was indicating it was good or bad. "Is that bad?"
"You always call me Haden..." He rested his head on my shoulder, "It just feels different... A good different."
I smiled, "then you don't mind?"
"Not at all." He whispered, turning me a bit and kissing me forcefully on the lips.
I breathed him in as his hand ran down my leg, holding it close to him as he kissed me. I snaked my arms around his neck, leaning against him.
I pushed him over, rolling on to him and straddling him. I smiled down at him, kissing him gently, then trailing down as I kissed his jaw line, his neck, his collar bone.
"Hadlie." He said softly, stopping me mid kiss. I peered up at him, "I don't want to so anything... Not like that."
"Who said I was going to do anything?" I pointed out sarcastically. "Why not? Don't you-"
"Of course I do." He wrapped his arms around me and caressed my back. "But I want to wait. I want to show you that I'm not just in this for... You know- that."
I laid down on him, resting my head on his shoulder. "Why do you have to be so perfect?" I whispered as I kissed his jaw again.
"I'm anything but- unless it comes to you." I felt him breath heavily. "I really care about you."
"I know you do." I said quietly. "And I care very much about you." I whispered, dragging my finger around in little circles.
I was very content right there- just laying on him and basking in our affection. I couldn't help but notice my feelings only seemed to grow for him. He always seemed so distant before; but now it was totally different. He was t good at showing how he felt, but he was doing pretty good at it.
Haden was perfect. And I wasn't nearly good enough.
