Why did you lie to me?" You said before walking back into the party. And before Michael could run after you to explain, he was being ushered off to his father's office.

When he opened the door to his father's office, he knew he was in trouble. His mother and father were waiting for him, "Son. Sit down" his father commanded as he closed the door. As he sat down, he knew he was in for it. But all he could think about was that he lied to you, you'd never trust him again. "Son. Your mother and I thought you were sitting on the balcony the entire night. Imagine our surprise to find your guard sitting in your seat with you no where to be found. What do you have to say for yourself?" Michael just wanted to be normal. He wanted a normal life, he wanted to go to school, be able to walk around without the chance of maybe getting caught, be a normal kid who's allowed to make mistakes. "I'm sorry father, I just wanted to enjoy the party without people faking that they like me. I wanted to be normal for a night." He replied hoping that maybe, by some chance they'd let him off because it was his birthday. Luckily he was, and the moment he was dismissed he went to find you. He had to make it right. He found you sitting on one of the tables, looking quite upset and bored. "(Y/N) can you please trust me? I'm sorry I lied to you, but I'll explain just follow me" he offered you his hand, and by his surprise, you took it. He brought you out of the ballroom and into the dining hall, there was a window lining the outer wall where you could see the ocean, knowing you'd love the view. "I'm sorry" he said after a minute. "I'm sorry I lied to you. It's just I don't know if people like me for who I am or who I was born as. I just wanted people to know me, just Michael, not Prince Michael. I wanted you to get to know the real me." You could tell he was really sorry, but you couldn't believe that the prince wanted to know you of all people. "Let's start over then. I'm (Y/N). It's nice to meet you." You offered him your hand to shake. "It's nice to meet you too, I'm Michael. Now, do you want to give me an updated tour of the kingdom? I hear there's a new exhibit at the aquarium about sharks, and I'd really love to see it." As you two snuck out of the palace once again, you knew this was the start of something great.
