How this happened I will never understand. This beautiful girl was related to Nico Di'Angelo and yet was a daughter of Artimis. The impossibility was almost disheartening. I couldn't believe anything anymore. I still have the hots for her but she wasn't the girl I just met today. Now she WAS the forbidden princess. A daughter of a goddess who broke her own written oath. How the huntresses of Artimis were going to take this I don't know. The symbol that had floated above her head is still implanted in my mind. The moon with a paw print and a bow and arrow glowing a haunting silver hue. Gods, what lady Artimis had done will be severely punished upon either the goddess herself or her only daughter, Ebony. I hope this doesn't change who she is. I love this girl for her not what she is. I stood from the tables along with everyone else and went to cabin three. Changing into my swimming trunks, I walked to the lake and sat at the bottom. I needed time to think.
I sat there for about an hour before I saw her. I swam to the surface and toweled myself off. Ebony had tears streaking down her face and her arms were crossed. "Ebony, what's wrong?" She came over to me and hugged me. That's when she started really crying. I held her there for at least four minutes before she started to calm down. "Ebony, you can tell me what's bothering you when you want to alright?' I wanted to protect her. I wanted her safe in my arms. "B...Bianca...she's...d...d..." She went right back to crying. I understood right then and there. She was Bianca Di'Angelo's sister and she just now learned she was dead. It wasn't fair to her. I held as I lead her inside as a thunderstorm began. Lord Zeus just learned of his daughter's lie. I cuddled Ebony for awhile until she started to doze off. I laid her down on my bed and covered her with my blankets. I didn't want to leave her alone so I laid down beside her. I soon fell asleep to the rhythmic sound of waves hitting the beach and Ebony's breathing.
