Once in a Blue Moon

Chapter 23.

Where am I stuck? Casper tricked me, I have no idea where Vinkart is and now I am here, with David who is completely unlike David.
"You are heartly welcomed in the chamber of death." He says with a smile. My heart pounds as his words enter my ears. Am I really going to die? Noo, I will not die.

As my eyes roll onto his face, I see him with green eyes but still the same face.
Same face with a different tongue. What has happened to him? The sweet kind tongue whose words used to be covered with honey are now like sharp pointed needles which hurts even more when they come out of his tongue.
"Thank you for welcoming me." I say with a rude smile.
"Do you have a last wish?" He asks.
Last wish!
I am not going to die so easily, I have to do something. Why would I have a last wish? I am not going to die, right? My heart starts to beat faster as fear of death crawls in me. I feel my heart heavy.

What shall I do? There is nothing I can do. I am here and I am about to die. Why did I ever trusted Casper?
I need to find a way to reach Vinkart.
I believed Casper because he didn't seem like he is tricking me. Their was truthness in his eyes, or maybe that was also the part of their plan...ugh! I am so trapped. How did all this happen?
Why did I trusted him? I sigh.
He promised me, he'll take me to Vinkart, and he brought me to David, fake David! And just kept saying, Be smart.

Why would he say this to me?

Fake David! That's it.
My eyes widen as thoughts rush into my brain. Voices start to echo in my ears.

'Ruler's body sculpted' Thats what Casper said. I feel my brain expanding increasing my capacity to think.
'You barely know him'
Maybe I really don't recognise him.
Maybe it is impossible to find him because it is not possible recognise him.
He is everywhere.
I just don't recognise him.

'Its not about what you see, its about what you don't. You can see me but you never know where I am.' David told me this for the first time when I met himin prison. He'right. I can see David but I don't know where he is because the person standing is not David.

That must be the reason why he told me to be smart.

Accordingly, the person with David's face is Vinkart, I think.

There is no time to think!
Wait.... what if he is not? What if he is really David? What if this was really a plan to kill me and nothing else?

Casper did mentioned, plan unplanned.
Oh God!

"Seems like you have no last wish." He says.
"I do." I say. It just popped out of my mouth!
I think he is Vinkart. Just look at his way of talking, extreamly sarcastic.
"If you do, then tell."
"Well, I want to meet David. Do you know where he is?" I ask while raising my left eyebrow up.
"Oh, I am standing right infront of you, hope you can see if aren't blind." He says.
He is Vinkart.
"Did I mentined 'real David' ? If not, I am sorry. I want to meet the real one. Is that fine?"
"Are you blind, seriously?" He asks.
I am getting a strong feeling about him being Vinkart. I just have to be very careful.
He has been tricking all of us all the time, now its my turn, only if he don't escape.
I don't have time to talk! I just have to aim at him.
No, no. First I need a confirmation.
"No, I am not blind. I can see you, not only you but also through you." I say.
"Oh, very well."
"So, how have you planned to kill me, Vinkart." I say. I just called him Vinkart. As far as I can think, accordingly, his body somehow looks like David but its actually....Vinkart, I think.
My eyes roll onto his shoes, his right foot takes a tiny step back. Now that is an impulsive action. His adrenal gland has started to secreate adrenaline.
"What made your mouth to shut?" I ask.
"You can't kill me, because I am in David and you won't kill David. You are right, you have recognised me, but again you don't know where I am, do you?" He replies.
What does he mean? Is he inside David? Rubbish!
Then how am I actually going to...?
Oh God!
"Now, what made your mouth shut, huh?" He asks. He is totally sarcastic.
