Chapter Six: A Feeling

 "um sure," (? ?) Wrench said almost sounding almost confused

 "Ya know (y/n) doesn't talk about you much when did you guys meet," Karla asked as she and Wrench sat down and I went  to make coffee for everyone 

"About a week or two ago," you say while handing the two some coffee before grabbing your own mug and sitting down between them on the couch where they left the seat open 

"Really (y/n) because you didn't tell me about him on the phone," Karla said looking at you kinda disappointed

 "well actually she did" Wrench interjected (^ ^) "On the phone a few nights ago she said she met a new friend, and that was me!"'how the hell did he know that I walked away during the time I was on the phone with her'  you thought "Oh right I didn't think of that" Karla exclaimed facepalming although seemingly still in a good mood

 "Yeah its okay it slipped your mind that happens to me all the time," You say smiling just before sipping some coffee  from a red mug with the words 'WAKE UP' written on the front 

"I know that all too well" Karla laughed and looked over to Wrench before continuing "In high school(y/n) would forget to study for most of the tests and-" 

"Woah I was really busy in high school and you did practically the same thing with more time on your hands Karla" You interrupt correcting your best friend on her statement 

"Seems like (y/n) was a bit of a goodie two shoes in high school" (^ ~) Wrench joked in a quirky tone 

"That is only partially true (y/n) ended up at every school dance and was the life of the party other than on any slow dance songs" Karla laughed and you lightly slap her arm then laugh a bit the conversation goes on for a while and before you say "Well I gotta get ready for work, Wrench you can see yourself out whenever" You went into your room and got changed. you very quickly threw on your work uniform and a pair of comfortable shoes before grabbing your wallet and phone, throwing them in a small purse. After coming out of your room you saw Wrench just standing near the door "You ready" he asked

 "Yeah" you replied

 "Aww so you're driving her" Karla teased

 "Yeah I'm going to the same place anyway so what's the harm" He had a cheerful tone in his robotic voice. 

You smile "Thanks, let's get going then" and walk towards the door grabbing your keys off the hook next to it

You arrive at GG&G 30 minutes before your shift starts and the early morning worker was still at the counter "Wow (y/n) your early for once" she said almost mockingly 

"You say that like I've been late before Anna," You say looking over at her smiling. Anna was only just 19, a skinny shorter girl, with straight fading dyed lilac hair down to her shoulders, tan skin, and piercing emerald green eyes. She walked out from behind the counter "You don't seem like you just rolled out of bed today, how early were you up" She asked sort of leaning against the counter 

"Very early" (^ ~) Wrench walked into the store 

"Woah, I didn't expect you of all people to sleep with someone like this guy" Anna spouted almost laughing 

You don't know why but all of the sudden your face felt warm and you became defensive as Wrench started to laugh his ass off you sputtered "No no no no, i-it's not like that we didn't- we're only friends" your nervousness made this look worse to Anna. Wrench's laughter calmed down "That was great," (^ ^)he paused seeing you all flustered about what Anna had said, "aww someones flustered that's adorable!" He softly rustled around your hair that was swiftly tied in a ponytail

"Whatever," You say and step away for a moment "Anyway I'll take over the rest of the shift Anna you can head to classes" You smile 

"Thanks (y/n)!" Anna grabs her stuff gives you a quick hug and walks out

"Hey (y/n) I'll meet you after your shift" (X X) Wrench walked to the back room as you went behind the counter.

It was a slower day than usual at work, although you couldn't complain you had almost nothing to do while you stood there at the counter. You had always carried a notepad and pencil in your purse for slow days like this, you began to draw a character from a book that had recently been turned into an animated movie that you really enjoyed. later when you finished sketching that you turned the page and just drew what came to mind first, you randomly began to draw a picture of your persona that you used in art and Wrench standing beside her. You noticed you had been smiling like an idiot the whole time 'Why am I feeling like this, I just met him, what the hell am I thinking!' you thought and you hear the back room door open 'Fuck' you think quickly sliding the artwork onto the floor, although you had a sigh of relief when you saw it wasn't Wrench. It was a dark-skinned man with a goatee adorning sunglasses, a blue hat, blue bomber jacket, skinny jeans, and yellow converse, but you'd seen him walk through before but this time you actually knew who the heck he was. He was in the news for being in a court case about hacking into something he wasn't supposed to, you couldn't remember what it was at this point. "Hey (y/n)" He said

"How do you know my name?" You ask genuinely confused

"You know my buddy Wrench don't you," He asks

"Yeah I know the guy, total dork, but in a good way" You smile and roll your eyes

"He doesn't shut up about you, I wanted to see for myself if rumors are true," The man says seeming almost too confident 

"Heh wow, well did you not think I was real" You laugh

He looked around for a second seeing that no one was around "Let's get serious" The man began to say.

As I've said before I want chapters to be good and I am trying to not release chapters that are less than 1000 words so that readers can have something substantial when I finally update.
