Ben and Holly: more than best friends

Chapter 1

Holly was in the meadow waiting for Ben when Nanny Plum appeared beside her.

"What are you doing here?" Said Holly.

" The royal dance is in 2 days. I'm setting up the decorations and the red carpet," Nanny said. Suddenly Holly remembered. She had to choose someone by tomorrow sunset to dance with. But she didn't know who! 

"Hi Holly!"

"Woof Woof!" 

Holly turned around and saw Ben standing there with Emerald, Amber, and Keith. They had grown up since they were kid ladybirds. Holly and Ben had grown up too. "Hi Ben!" Holly said. "Do you know about the royal dance?" "Yes! There is also a contest next week!" Ben answered. "What contest?" Holly asked. "No idea." Ben said. Holly wondered what the contest is about. Is it about best look? Is it about best dance? Is it about best gymnastics? All these thoughts swirled in Holly's head. What both of them didn't know was that it was for a prince that can marry Holly. "All finished!" Nanny Plum said. Holly saw beautiful lanterns with some shade and a shiny red carpet on the floor. She still didn't know who to choose for the dance. " Want to play?" Ben asked. "Yes!" Holly said happily. Soon they both were in the air, laughing. They went farther into the meadow. Suddenly Lucy appeared in front of them. "Hi Lucy!" Ben and Holly said. 

"Hey guys!" Lucy said. She was a big girl now. She is 16. A long time had passed since they last met her when she was 12. She was starting middle school and couldn't visit them for 3 years. And here they were. Ben is 16 Holly is also 16 Holly still didn't forget they were best friends. But for the last 6 years, she felt something more than best friendship. But she couldn't express it cause it was developing really slowly. The more she was with Ben the more she felt it. " What are you doing here?" Holly said. "I came to tell you I graduated middle school!" Lucy exclaimed. "Here is my certificate!" She pulled a paper out of her pocket. It was decorated very nicely with Lucy's name on it. Her grades were all A+. "Congratulations!" Holly and Ben said in unison. "Thanks! And there is also a party today. Do you two want to come?" Ben and Holly glanced at each other. "We have to ask Nanny Plum and the Wise Old Elf." Ben said. "Okay, I'll be waiting for you outside my house." Lucy said. "Bye Ben and Holly!" "Bye Lucy!" Ben and Holly said. "Let's go to the Wise Old Elf first." said Holly. 

After a while, they reached the great elf tree. Everyone was getting stuff from the great elf tower. (AKA the litter bin). They saw the Wise Old Elf commanding the elves to take all the stuff to the great elf factory and great elf farm. "Wise Old Elf! Wise Old Elf! Can we go to Lucy's graduation party?" Ben said.

"Hmm... as long as you return by night." Wise Old Elf said. "Okay!" Ben said happily. "To the little castle!" 

When they reached the little castle, they saw Nanny Plum's daughter and Nanny cleaning up the courtyard. "Nanny Plum! Nanny Plum! Can we go to Lucy's party? We promise to return by night!" Holly said excitedly. 

"If my mom says it's okay." Little Plum said. "It's okay with me." Said Nanny. "Now come on Little Plum! Chop chop!" "Hooray!" Ben and Holly exclaimed. "Lets go!" Holly said.

They went on a helicopter Holly magicked up and it took her several tries. She even turned Ben into a helicopter! When they reached, they saw Lucy standing there, waiting for them. She was with some big people and they were chatting. "How are we going to get Lucy's attention without making the others notice us?" Ben asked. Holly thought and suddenly she had an idea. "Ben, you stay here and try to get Lucy's attention and I will go inside and make a noise."  "How will that work?" Ben asked curiously. "Just do what I say." Holly said.
