besides having amazing books to read; the place also served as a shelter from socializing in school.
hence, that is why every morning, instead of hanging out with friends and gossiping, he preferred to curl up into the library's warm seats and make his way through books while waiting for class to start.
it was monday and even though a month had passed by since his first day of new school; hoseok absolutely loathed it.
clad in a large yellow hoodie, the boy was engrossed in his novel; not even looking up when the bell rang, indicating that classes had started.
that is, until someone tried to catch his attention.

snapping his head upwards, hoseok came face to face with the one and only kim taehyung.

"hoseok, it's time for class~" he sang.
unfortunately for hoseok, he had asked taehyung for directions to the bathroom on the first day of school; making the latter think that hoseok wanted to befriend him.
and that is how taehyung had now latched himself to hoseok like a leech.
"can't you see i'm reading?" hoseok spat.
taehyung just smiled. "aww, i see poor hobi isn't a morning person."
hoseok just glared.
but the small boy was far from intimidating with his adorable dimples and silver rimmed nerdy glasses.
knowing hoseok would get himself into trouble by reading and skipping class; taehyung did one thing any person would.
he wrapped his arms around the tiny boy and lifted him up in his strong arms.
carrying him bridal style while slinging hoseok's bag over his shoulder; taehyung marched out of the library before the boy in his arms could process anything that happened.
as soon as the library's warmth left, hoseok snapped.
"what the fuck are you doing, dumbass!" he squirmed in taehyung's arms trying to escape before anyone could catch them being extremely gay.
"hey--"
"fucking put me down." hoseok hissed as taehyung chuckled at his cuteness.
setting the boy down on his feet; he squished his soft cheeks.
"aye, you're so adorable!"
hoseok slapped his hands away and wanted to give taehyung a piece of his mind when suddenly, his eyes darted to the clock hanging on the corridor's wall.
he was late to class.
standing at 5'6, hoseok had to get on his tippy toes to snatch his bag hanging on taehyung's shoulder.
he didn't forget to smack the taller's arm and with that; he rushed down the long hallways, trying to climb the stairs as quickly as he could to reach his destination.
the boy had nearly reached his class when suddenly he was stopped by colliding into an obstacle.
"oof--"
the harsh impact knocked off hoseok's glasses from his nose and made him fall backward on his ass with a thump.
frowning and blinking rapidly, the boy groaned, standing up and rubbing his backside.
he then realized his vision was blur as heck.

however, the boy was only met by the cold floor.

that's because his pride already had been ruined when a tall, tall boy had caused hoseok to bump into him and fall onto his butt, seeming extremely comical to the former who couldn't help but snort.
not to mention he was shamelessly chuckling as hoseok bent over and searched for his glasses like a blind man.
twirling the silver rimmed spectacles he had already retrieved from the floor, the tall boy smirked.
