A slow afternoon

It was a beautiful morning and everyone was in a good mood,  everyone except for Komuro Takashi was feeling lower than dirt. Miyamoto Rei, his longtime girlfriend, had dumped him for his best friend Igou Hisashi. He knew a lot of it was his own fault, but that didn't make him feel any better.

"When are you going to stop this moping around?" a sharp voice said from behind him.

Takashi looked back to see Takagi Saya and Jin ruyji, two of his oldest friends, "Please leave me alone, Takagi. I'll get over it when I do."

"Baka... Serves you right for not paying attention to what is going on around you!" Jin said lightly tapping the top of takashi's head.

"Oh, thank you so much for telling me the obvious!" Takashi snarled as he spun to face Jin. "The fact that I trusted her to abide by her promise had nothing to do with it, huh? Hell, even her father and mother thought we would end up together!"

Saya quieted down with his statement, "I know; I'm sorry. It's just, we hate to see you acting this way over her, after what she did."

Takashi turned back to lean on the rail and looked at Jin who was looking down on the courtyard of the school. Noticing someone looking up at trio, he glanced back at her, "the ice Queen is looking at us"

The pink-haired girl looked down then replied, "Busujima Saeko, captain of the kendo team and a third year. She is reputed to be standoffish, your right a bit of an ice queen. She probably heard us arguing."

"Well come on, we need to get back to class before we get sent to the principal's office. I can just see trying to explain that to mama and papa," she said.

"Like you would get in trouble," Takashi thought as he followed her back inside. Jin was the only one who didn't follow, he kept in complete eye contact with her. "Jin! You coming?!" Saya yelled snapping Jin but to reality.

"Coming!" He yelled catching up to his friends

Busujima Saeko was walking across the courtyard toward the kendo dojo when she heard a trio of loud voices above her. Looking up, she saw a dark-haired boy,pink-haired girl arguing and a brown hair looking at her . Glancing around her, she motioned two of her kohai over.

"Do you know who that is fighting on the stairwell?" she asked motioning upward.

The other girls looked up, and one said, "Ah, that's Takagi Saya, Komuro Takashi, and the captain of the boxing team Jin ruyji"

Saeko's eyes narrowed, "I am not one to interfere, but is she in danger?"

"Oh no," the girls told her. "That's just Takagi being herself. She is probably chastising Komuro for skipping class again. He's been depressed since his longtime girlfriend, dumped him for his best friend. Komuro and Takagi are childhood friends; he would never do anything to hurt her. And we'll everyone knows ruyji, him and Komuro are almost like brother "

The first girl looked at the other, "You know they're aren't unattached, and not bad looking..."

Her friend grinned, "Maybe we can talk to ruyji and Komuro into a double date, Komuro will need someone once he gets over his depression."

"Very well, go on to practice," Saeko told them as they ran off talking about the chances Komuro would pick another girl anytime soon. Looking back up, she found Jin looking down at her as he stood in the doorway leading back into the school. Blushing at being caught watching, she turned and headed toward the dojo.

Later that afternoon takashi decided to skip class again and when to his usual spot on the stairs. When he got the he spotted a brown hair boy sitting on the step

"Hi, dude," Jin said in greeting.

Takashi putting on a half-assed smile. "Hey, man," he said. "What are you doing out here? You never skip class."

"I was bored shitless because the day so slow." Jin shrugged. "Why do you always skip class? You were an average grade student"

Takashi let out a throaty, forced chuckle. "Touché."

The two continued to look down upon the front courtyard of the school ... and they saw something rather curious. There was a man by the school gates, and he appeared to be trying to reach in through the gaps in the metal. A group of three teachers approached him and appeared to be speaking to him, "Probably telling him to piss off," Jin say.

As the gym teacher if he remember correctly, walked to the gate and rather aggressively pulled the man into it; the banging of man against metal could be heard even from where Takashi and Jin stood.

The screams of the gym teacher was also heard as the man he was holding bit into his arm were pretty damn clear, too. The gym teacher fell to the ground, his arm spouting blood, and writhed in pain. He lay, convulsing, on the floor.
