Jay McArthur was a very popular boy but unknown to everyone he was actually she and was born Jayden Riley McArthur the first born child of the mayor of jamesbrooke Jacob McArthur and his wife Annie. from the time she was little, she was forced to act and dress like a boy or be punished and soon Jayden became jay. jay was a good kid did well in school never got in trouble with there teachers was always staying late to help tutor those that needed help. their life was perfect till she started 7th grade and her body started changing it was around this time that her parents found out they were going to have another child a boy this time they were thrilled Jayden thought that cause they were having a boy they could stop having to pretend but when she asked she was told to keep up the act as it would be bad publicity if word got out that their firstborn was a girl so she was forced to bind her chest and go to a vocal couth to help her learn to make her seem like a boy going through puberty and everything went back to the usual routine of making herself a boy to protect her fathers image.
in a couple months she would have a little brother they named Jace she was glad to be a big sister but she also hated the idea of her having to hide her true identity because she was born first. a couple months after Jace was born but died soon after. her parents were devastated and blamed her. jay started her junior year of high school with their words still fresh in her mind" if you had been a boy then Jace would have survived." but she loved her school and had lots of friends actually she didn't have any. all her "friends" weren't hers but jays she met new people and made friends with them when she met him. Blake Baxter, he was a new kid who had just transferred to Jamesbrooke high she soon fell in love but he turned every girl who wanted him down which had sparked rumors that he was into guys which gave Jayden a reason to like being made to be a boy for once. blake was a sweet boy and soon started to hang around jay more and more till one day he asked jay out. they said yes of course and after the dismissal bell blake drove Jayden home and told them to be ready by 7 and drove off. when 7 rolled around blake came to pick up jay and they went to a party that a friend of theirs was throwing and as jay den had never had alcohol before they became intoxicated very quickly and next thing they knew they woke up in Blake's room. after finding out she fainted she thanked blake and went home. the next morning she woke up and saw her normally black hair was turning red but she shrugged it off and got ready. when she got to school she was greeted by her"friends" who pushed her down and started kicking her calling her a lying freak when they were finished they went to class while Jayden laid in the parking lot. her science teacher grew worried when she didn't show up to class and so went to look for her. he found her laying in the parking lot coughing up blood and rushed her to the nurse who was one of the few people who knew Jay was actually a girl. when blake heard he was worried about jay and was by her side the whole time she was recovering. soon word began to spread about what had happened and no one knew why it had happened.jayden and Blake got together not long after the incident.jayden was happy but I didn't last long cause not two days after they got together blake wanted to take it further. his parents weren't home and wouldn't be for the next week so blake invited jay over to take their relationship further.jay was too excited to think so when he undressed her he stopped. she asked whats wrong and Blake told her to get out. "blake I can explain," Jay said," I SAID GET OUT" shouted Blake he sighed and said"I need some time to think about us" Jay nodded and left.on her way home, she was attacked and almost raped so after that day she started carrying around a knife with her for protection. she had always been good with knives and swords so she had papers that authorized her to have them. she felt safer already the next day at school she was dragged into the boy's bathroom where a group of boys wanted to play with the mayor's boy. she tried to tell them she wasn't a boy but they wouldn't listen and soon she had had enough of this situation and pulled out her knife and killed them she then started to think about what would happen if she was found out and she realized she was going to be in trouble when they found the body's so she went back to get the body's but they were gone. this freaked her out a bit and she ran out of the room. the next day every one avoided her she didn't know why until she asked one of the girls jay was friends with and the girl snapped at her" what do you want" she snapped. why is every avoiding me?" I asked. "because "jay "if that's even your real name we all know what you are" then she left.
as the weeks went on people looked at her like she was some sort of plague. I soon found out that Blaine, Blakes sister had leaked my gender to everyone. I was an outcast and a toy that the guys tried to use for their pleasure.soon she started finding roses in her room and in her locker they kept showing up and thinking they were from the boys of the school she soon snapped and realized she hated being taken advantage of just cause of her gender so that night she formulated a plan.
the next day she went to school as jay. everyone looked at her like she was trash and her day began with her almost getting raped again but this time she was prepared and killed them before they could grab her then she moved on to the office staff and locked all the doors making escape impossible and started to kill all that had abandoned her she left blake for last. she found him in a corner hiding" blake" she said calmly "jay" he said quickly "look I'm sorry I didn't know that Blaine knew" he apologized. she shushed him" its ok blake but I can't let you leave" she smiled" w-why not," he said scared "cause I'm a loner and your a witness," she said before killing him quickly.
she made her way home and started packing so they could leave and then waited for her parents. when they came home she came downstairs as Jayden not jay and grabbed her sword" mother father your home" she said slyly"yes now get dressed we are having company" her father said"oh no father I'm afraid we arent" she then lunged at them stabbing her father" jay what are you doing?"her mother said scared" MY NAME IS JAYDEN ANY JAY AND I AM A GIRL NOT A BOY" she screamed and slashed her mothers neck open and stole their wallets and keys she then loaded the car with her stuff and drove off after clearing the house of all valuables and then sold them and pocketed the cash she drove till she got in to the woods. she soon abandoned the car and went in to the woods. she soon got lost and decided to camp out in a nearby clearing for the night she had fallen asleep when she heard a noise and woke up she found a rose next to her sleeping bag and just looked at it before picking it up it was a deep scarlet red the same ones that she was finding everywhere and that had pushed her to break free. Soon she met up with someone who could help her do what she wanted and learned that he had been watching her for years waiting for her to snap and join him as one of his proxies she agreed.And from that day on she was called scarlet as a constant reminder of how her hatred of being forced to be something she's not caused so much to happen and finally freed her.
