A Whole New World-Chapter 3

After searching through the plane we headed out on another adventure. We started our search of the island off in science. Eventhough we are stranded on this unknown island right now, studying Racheal, she still seems to walk with such poise and self confidence. She's really rather beautiful even though she's kind of a reck from the crash. She has only one sleeve, her leg is rapped with the other. She has big chocolate colored eyes. She interrupts my thoughts by saying, " Do you see any signs of anyone else on the island?"

" Not at the moment, right now I'm looking for signs of fresh water," I lied. " Just keep an eye out if you see something out of the ordinary then just let me now," I finish.

"And how exactly do we know what's out of the ordinary?" She asks me with a sarcastic look on her face.

"Come on now you know what I meant," I say to her. I look around for some indication of water, and the ground seems to be changing. Just as they did earlier when they went from like sand to dirt, and I know the land can't possibly be this small. So as we climb higher up this small hill something starts to come in to sight. Really could it be? It is isn't it? Please let it be fresh!

"WATER!"Racheal says joyfully.

"Don't get too excited yet we don't know if it's fresh yet."

"It is," she gives me a mockingly look.

"How do you know?" I ask as we step out of the the trees onto the sand.

"I can tell!" she says with a proud flick to her long flowing brown hair, that slightly drapes her right eye.

We both walk up and lean down to the water.'Yah it's definitely spring water.' I splash some to my face, and cup some in my hand for a drink. There's a small water fall on the other side. Racheal splashes some water at me playfully, and then dives in. She brings her head out of the water and the sunlight sparkles on her hair.

'She is so beautiful,' I think. It was so unexpected I just stayed knelt there, dumbfounded, as she stares frolicsome.

"Well are you just going to stare, or are you coming in?" she says with a zippy smile.

"Duhh," I say trying to act like I know what I'm doing. I threw my shirt aside and jumped in. As I surfaced for air, gazing in each others eyes, close enough to touch.

She breaks the silence by laughing, and then she says, "So what now we've found fresh water."

"Well we are going to have to find food and stuff to make shelter, but I really think its best to stay together just in case." I tell her just a little more serious.

Then all of a sudden we hear crackling and shuffleing noise from inside the treeline. It seems to grow all the way around the spring. I shoot Racheal a look trying to see if she heard it too. She has a frightened look on her face.

'SOMETHING or SOMEONE is out there.'

I grab Racheal's arm, and pull her in protectively. I'm not sure whether we should get to land or stay in the water.
