She cried on my shoulder for a good ten minutes. I just embraced her the entire time as she cried.  I felt no hate towards her.  The only thing I could feel was compassion.  Nothing could change it.  I just kept saying things like "It'll be okay" and "I'm here." Ha.. can't even understand my own emotions.

After the ten minutes, she looked up at me with tears still in her eyes.  I smiled in response to help lift her spirits. She weakly smiled back.

"T... thank you," she struggled to say.

"Don't mention it," I said.  "You feeling better."

She looks at me a sarcastic way. "What do you think, Moron!"

I  laugh for a moment, but, then, stop when I hear something.  More like someone. The sound I hear are footsteps from around the corner. Looking at the corner, I see an executive of Team Rocket come in.

"Lin," he said, apparently relieved. He ran over to us. "There you are."

"What are you doing here?" Lin asked.

"Let's just say I'm here on my own accord for now," the executive said. "Are you okay? You're father was pretty harsh."

"What went down exactly?" I butted in.

The Team Rocket member scanned me. "Ryver, right?"

"Yeah, nice to meet you!" I said, extending my hand.

He shook my hand. "Name's Dex."

"You seem like a good guy," I noted. "Why are you in Team Rocket?"

"Mainly because I was bored before this, but the pay is nice too," Dex remarked.

"Ah... Makes enough sense. So how'd you know me?"

"We actually fought in Silph Co. Took me out first hit. After that, I trained like crazy."

"At least you train. Most don't get any better from the last time I fought them."

"Yeah, and some are just idiots. Somehow, I got one of them as a friend. Almost killed a lady named Daisy from Pallet."

"I remember her talking about that actually. How a Team Rocket Grunt almost killed her, but an Admin saved her life. That was you?"

"Yeah, my mother was a 'Joy.'"

"Oh, of which town?

"Celdon."

"Nice, anyway," I said as I remember what I was asking. "What exactly happened?"

"The basis is that her father pretty much told her she was worthless to him."

I tilted my head.  That's odd.  I don't know him well, but most fathers wouldn't say that, even if it's Giovanni we're talking about.

I looked back over at Lin.  She looked like she was going to break down again.  I hold my arms out as she runs at me crying again.  This is such a confusing topic right now.  I need to get more information on the topic.

Continuing to comfort her, I start to silent talk to Dex.  I mouthed, "Can you unlock the door?"

"Why should I?" he mouthed in reply.

"So I can get more info on this situation as well as not have to comfort her through a bar."

"Still isn't a valid reason."

Five minutes pass and she stops crying again.  She lets off her grip as I release mine.  "You ok?"

"Y-yeah," she said. She sniffles before grabbing her keys to the door.
