Chapter One

Lauren sat in the kitchen reading the latest of her favourite fashion magazine 'Get set'. She sat on the kitchen table, sipping her pulp free orange juice and nibbling on her marmalade toast.

Her mum came downstairs. 'Good morning, daughter.'

'Good morning daughter! Lauren laughed. What are you to ashamed to say my name?'

'Would you blame me? After the display you made the other night in the middle of the streets, I never thought I would see you disrespecting your body like that.'

'Mum, I was drunk; I took off some clothes, what's the big deal?'

'The big deal is the fact that you are a sixteen year old girl who is just starting college, you shouldn't even be drinking at your age, it's illegal.'

'You had sex underage, the law didn't stop you did it?'

'That's not fair, I was pressured.'

'Mum, it's okay, I understand, you felt like every other teenager ugly and that the only way you would be noticed is to have sex with the hottest guy in school.'

Lauren's mum face looked like it was near explosion.

'I understand.'

'So if you understand so well, I understand you won't be making any stupid decisions with that rock boyfriend of yours.'

'He's not in a rock band mum; don't be fooled by the way he dresses and the way he does his hair.'

'My point exactly, do you think he is helping your reputation?'

'He is a lovely boyfriend, he betters my reputation, you are the one endangering it.'

Mum sighed. 'I need to go into the shower; I'm going to be late for work.'

Lauren smiled as she finished her breakfast knowing she won the mini how to live your life debate.

As her mum was about to leave the room, she turned around and said 'Lauren, just remember, when he says he loves you, he will walk away as soon as that stick reads positive and he'll act like he never met you, and even if you weren't too get pregnant, he'll leave you as soon as you give it up.'

'Guess what mum? I gave it up a long time ago.'

Lauren's mum then ran up the stairs pretending she never heard anything.

Lauren pulled out her hair, tied her hair up in a bow and was ready to leave the house; luckily her mum did not see what she was wearing.

'LAUREN, YOU BETTER COME IN THIS BATHROOM AND CLEAN UP ALL THE BITS OF MAKE UP IN THE SINK!'

'Can't you do it? I'll be late for my first day!'

'Lauren, you never cared about your punctuality before, come up here now!'

SLAM!

'Lauren? Lauren!'

Lauren strutted down the streets in knee high boots, a tutu and a belly top as she entered college she got more stares than Keri Hilson walking down the red carpet.

Girls snarled at her at said 'If it isn't Barbie's hoe of a sister!'

People then laughed.

'You lot better back off my girlfriend, she's not a hoe to dress like that, she's funky and original and I love it! George replied. Lauren!'

'Hi baby!' Lauren smiled.

'You all right, hot stuff; I don't care what anyone says you look amazing!'
