Keith has always felt invisible and he didn't mind, kept him out of drama, out of fights, not expelled. But after the weekend he felt all eyes on him, he ignored it as he kept his eyes on the screen of his phone and ear buds in. It's only been a month since school started, one more year then he was out, collage or where ever, he got to leave the small town.

"Keith," he heard a familiar voice and looked over seeing old friends that waved him over. He bit his lip and walked over acting like everything was okay.

"Hey rolo, Nyma," Keith took out his ear buds and tucked his phone away.

"Heard your going through shit, you okay?" Rolo asked gently and Keith shrugged nodding.

"Not the worst thing, I think I'll survive," Keith crossed his arms and rolo slipped him a pack of cigarettes and he nodded.

"Gratitude?" Keith snorted.

"In a way," Nyma smiled at him and the dark haired teen nodded as he noticed some people look at him and looked away talking when he made eye contact with some.

"You guys know what's up?" Keith asked and Nyma shrugged not knowing.

"I think people found out," he whispered and rolo looked at him surprised.

"Shiro wouldn't snitch you out like that right? He doesn't want people finding out," rolo frowned and Keith looked down as he sighed not knowing. He couldn't look at Shiro right now.

"He went to some party and drank so who knows," Keith mumbled and made eye contact with blue eyes that stared at him concerned. Lance McClain.

"Ah fuck," Keith groaned seeing Lance down the halls of school walking towards him.

"Good luck kogane, see ya around," rolo nodded and Keith walked away quickly as Lance got closer.

"Hey Keith wait up," Lance jogged instead up to him and Keith put in ear buds but Keith yanked them out.

"Hold up man," Lance stopped in front of him.

"Wow he dares speaks to me," Keith said unamused and Lance made a face.

"You do know I'm not into you right?" Lance hissed a whisper at him and Keith was confused.

"Even if you where I don't care," Keith said flatly.

"Then what do you mean when you texted me?" Lance scoffed at him and Keith didn't catch on.

"What text?" He asked.

"Look at your phone," Lance sighed motioning to his phone.

"Can't," Keith held up his cracked screen as it as practically shattered. "Got pissed off,"

"Plus I've been avoiding going on texts at all cost including possibly getting a new number," Keith waved him off and walked away as the bell rung. Lance was caught by surprise at the bell but went he went to look for Keith in the hall way. He was gone.

"Oh this makes it so much worst," Lance whined shaking his head.

Keith sat on the top of the bleachers during lunch as everyone was inside eating and no one was on the football field so he could smoke a cigarette in peace. Until he saw Lance walking over and walked up to the bleachers.

They looked at each other as Lance waited for anything that'd give him permission to walk up without Keith running off. Keith sighed flicking the ash off the cigarette and nodded.

Lance smiled walking to the top with his hands in his pockets as he sat next to Keith.

"What now McClain?" Keith asked annoyed.

"Mind if I get a hit?" Lance asked and the shorter pale boy was shocked at him but slowly handed Lance the cigarette and he inhaled it with ease and unfazed.

"You smoke?" Keith asked.

"Sometimes, not that much anymore," Lance took another inhale and handed it back to him.

"Ok so I've connected the dots and I think you sent me the wrong text Friday," Lance grabbed his phone and showed Keith the texts.

"Oh fuck... Yea no that was to Shiro not you, I'm so sorry God," Keith buried his face in his hands and Lance raised an eye brow.

"My baseball captain Shiro?" Lance blinked surprised.

"Yep, we've been dating for over a year, or at least did," Keith sighed taking another inhale of the cigarette.

"That makes me feel a little better at least, I thought it was a shitty prank Lotor put you too," Lance laughed but paused realizing what he said.

"Lotor? Like principles kid Lotor? Your not gay..." Keith looked at him as Lance was turning red looking away.

"Your gay?" Keith pointed at him surprised.

"No! I-I still like girls... Just guys too... I-I'm bi... But not everyone knows,"  Lance slowly said and Keiths jaw dropped.

"Just don't know how I'm going to tell my dad without him being pissed, my family knows I've dated guys just not whole high school and old man," he blushed looking down.

"Why not your dad? I thought your dad passed away or something," Keith looked at him and Lance took another puff.

"Nah, he's coming home in a few days... He was... He was gone for a while," Lance sighed leaning back.

"No shit... Huh did he like leave you guys?" Keith looked at him understanding.

"In a way but he's staying with us for a little, my mom wants to actually divorce and get him out as quick as possible," Lance looked down.

"He's not homophobic he just doesn't want it in his family," Lance scoffed. He thought for a moment and smiled a little at an idea.

"What if I brought you home and we acted like boyfriends?" Lance turned to him as he got excited.

"What? Your crazy," Keith waved him off.

"No no no, it'll make Shiro jealous of what he lost and Allura will get jealous that I treat you better than her, it's practically revenge on everyone! And the whole soccer team thinks you broke up with me and knows your gay so if your gay with me they won't harass you," Lance explained and Keith looked at him for a moment. Behind him in the distance he saw Shiro walking to the bleachers as its been their spot for how long.

Keith grabbed lances shirt and pulled him close as he kissed him hard as he pushed Lance down on the bleachers just as Shiro was able to see them and stopped seeing Lance and Keith. Lance was surprised but followed along and he looked to the side seeing Shiro and put his hands on Keiths butt making him jump.

Keith pulled away panting as he sat up smacking lances hands softly away but Lance saw Shiro was still there and grabbed Keiths chin as they where seated up and kissed again.

"He's gone, get off," Keith pushed him away and Lance touched his lips and smirked at Keith.

"Looks like you sealed the deal with a kiss," Lance hummed and Keith glared at him darkly.

"Meet me at the diner and we'll talk about this more," Keith said standing up and took another breath of the cigarette and went down the stairs as Lance laughed softly impressed.
