"Hey mom, Kelsey invited me to spend the night at her house so I won't be here for dinner and such." I said walking into the kitchen. It was almost six and I was getting anxious. I had packed a dinner and such and was able to sneak it out to my car without anyone noticing. The last time I lied about going somewhere was when my old friend Chase wanted to go to see the midnight premier of Breaking Dawn and we snuck out of the house and ended up spending the night at her cousin's house instead and my mom wasn't fond of her cousin in anyway, shape, or form.
"But you guys just saw each other yesterday, you're getting busier and busier T. Soon, your face will only be a memory." My mom dramatically sighed before laughing and nodding her head,
"Have fun, don't stay up too late." I kissed her cheek and went upstairs grabbing a couple extra things to put in a bag, including my portable phone charger thing in case my phone died. The phone is a priority. I sat on my bed, relaxing for a bit and calming my nerves before tonight. I was really nervous and I didn't know why, I guess the thought of a guy just coming out and saying he liked me was a new concept to me and made me nervous. What happened to him saying it was hard for him to express emotion?
I jumped when I heard a huge thud at my window. I walked over to the window and looked down seeing none other than cheeky faced Harry down below. I smiled and opened the window,
"You scare me Harry!" He chuckled,
"Bring your pillow and a sleeping bag, I'm bringing a tent. We can just spend the night at the pond, if you're okay with that?" I nodded before closing the window and grabbing my pillow. I went to my closet and pulled out my old sleeping bag before shoving it all in a big bag and walking downstairs. I said goodbye to my mom before walking out to the car and putting my bag in the trunk. I looked over and saw Harry closing the flip to his truck. I slightly waved at him before getting in the car and backing out of the driveway.
I turned my radio on, trying to calm my nerves. My stomach was flipping in every which way and my palms were sweating. I had to take a hand one at a time off the steering wheel to wipe them on my jeans I was so nervous. I wasn't going to talk to my mom or Kelsey about this because I know the looks and judgment I'll get from them. I know their judgment would be because they want the best for me but, I feel like right now this is the best for me.
I pulled into the little gravel parking lot by the pond. Nobody was here, which was probably a good thing considering Harry probably doesn't want people to know we're here either. I got out of the car after taking a deep breath and walked to the back of my car. I lifted the trunk lid and began grabbing my stuff. I turned around and saw Harry pulling into the parking lot as well. I smiled and waited for him to park the truck.
"Could you get the lid? My hands are full." Harry nodded and shut the trunk lid before walking to the truck bed and putting down the flap, grabbing the tent and his sleeping bag. He shut the flap and smiled at me,
"Where do you want to camp?" I shrugged my shoulders,
"I've never been here before so, that's for you to decide." He nodded and began walking the trail. I looked over at the pond as we began walking and saw the geese all in the water. The way the water was twinkling against the sun made it look beautiful. Harry and I walked for a bit, he was a bit quiet but then again, he's never been talkative since I met him.
"This should be good aye?" Harry said pointing to an opening in the woods. I nodded and we walked over, setting our stuff down. Harry dragged the tent over between two trees and laid it out flat, grabbing the poles and setting them aside.
"Where are the instructions?" Harry chuckled,
"I don't need instructions, it's not that hard to put up." I rolled my eyes, folding my arms.
"You're one of those guys, huh?" He shrugged his shoulders and stood up, grabbing the tent.
"I've done this a million times, I think I've got it." He lifted up the tent, to see which side the flap was on when a gust of wind came and began blowing it. He quickly pulled the tent down back to the ground. I started laughing,
"Your face!' I clutched my stomach I was laughing so hard. Harry just stood their with his hands on his hips, tapping his foot. I wiped the tears away from my eyes before looking back at him, letting one last laugh out.
"You're cute, you know that?"He huffed and went back to the tent, this time flipping it so the floor was on the ground and he could inspect it easier. He grabbed two long poles and began putting together the tent. I went to my bag and grabbed a little hand shovel, beginning to dig a little fire pit. I looked over at Harry after I finished digging, he was still at it. I smiled and began collecting firewood.
"I think I've got it now." He said when I returned with the firewood. I looked over at the tent and saw it all put up. I smiled and nodded,
"Looks good."We grabbed our sleeping bags and pillows before walking into the tent and laying them out.
"I hope you don't mind it being smaller, if you do I can just sleep outside." Harry offered, scratching the back of his head. I smiled and put my hand on the nape of his neck,
"It's ok, I don't mind." Harry smirked before looking down at my lips. My heart began to race as he leaned in closer. Was he really going to kiss me? He says one thing but does the other, not that I mind. His face was centimeters from mine,
"Is this ok, too?" I gently pulled his face to mine, kissing his lips with my own. It wasn't a sloppy french kiss, and it wasn't a peck. It was just fine, and his lips were soft. I pulled away and he pressed his forehead against mine,
"I feel like this isn't real, T. I feel like we're rushing and I shouldn't be doing this but, I don't care honestly. You drive me crazy in so many ways, and we just met a couple months ago. No one has had that effect on me, ever." I smiled and pecked his lips,
"I just find it funny how you said it hard for you to express emotions but here you are, clearly expressing you like me." He chuckled and pecked my lips,
"C'mon, I'm starving." We walked out of the tent and I brought the cooler over to him. I laid out the blanket and sat down. He chuckled and pointed over to the fold out chairs,
"I brought those, you know?" He walked over and grabbed the two chairs before bringing them over and setting them up on top of the blanket. I pulled the sandwiches out of my bag and handed one to him. I also grabbed the fruit and a couple other snacks and laid them on top of the cooler. Harry started the fire, sitting back in his chair and eating his sandwich while watching the fire begin to spread among the logs.
"So, tell me about your sister." I said before biting into my sandwich as I sat down. Harry looked at the fire, swallowing the bite of his sandwich. He stayed quiet for a while before I spoke up,
"You don't have to, I don't mean to pry." Harry shook his head,
"It's fine, I haven't seen her in a while so it's a bit hard to talk about her, you know?" I nodded. He put his sandwich down and began to speak.
A/N: That was an awkward way to end the chapter but oh well, haha! It probably doesn't make any sense and I'm 99% sure it's not the correct grammar wise but oh well, it's a fanfiction. Anyways, I hope you're enjoying these chapters, I am!
You know you're into deep when you can totally picture Harry saying and doing things, when I type things he's saying I can hear it in my head. Also, you know which gif you want to use before you even go to search for it.
