Jin walked out of his school as normal on that Thursday and started to walk towards his apartment. He caught his best friend before she left the gate of the school. She looked at him as if he were a dead man walking. She grabbed him by the shoulder and whispered in his ear " Be careful! He knows now!"

After which, she ran away. Jin blanched and ran the three blocks home. He walked up the walkway to his apartment building and speeded to the elevator, pressing the button for the third floor. He slowly opened the door to apartment 345 and was met with a terrifying sight. His father held his diary open and looked at Jin with anger mixed with disbelief on his face.

"Son... is this true?"

"Yes, dad... it's true. I didn't want you to find out like this though."

"Get out of my house. Take all of the filthy shit you want and GET OUT OF THIS APARTMENT."

Jin stared at his father in pure horror for a few moments before he grabbed his wallet, an empty notebook, a bag of pens, and a few other necessities before shoving them in a backpack and walking out.

He walked to an alleyway about five blocks from his house and laid down the royal blue sleeping bag before shoving his bag in the bottom, curling up inside, and crying until he fell asleep. The next day, he woke up at about nine o'clock and packed his stuff back into his bag before walking further from the place he used to call home.

He found a small grocery store and bought a little bit of food that he could eat for the next few days. Then he found a smaller alley where he could set up a temporary shelter and laid out his sleeping bag before arranging the contents of his backpack.

The rest of the day, Jin sulked in his small alley and read some of the books he had grabbed. He was just finishing a chapter when out of the corner of his eye, he saw a figure approach him. He looked up and saw a small probably teenaged boy with frizzy purple hair and reddish-brown eyes that were full of joy, but at the same time, a certain melancholy that Jin couldn't exactly place.

"Hey, you ok?" The small framed boy asked.

"Well, if being kicked out of your home less than 24 hours ago is ok, then yeah. Sure."

The boy's eyes sparkled with understanding. "So you're one of us, huh?" He said. He helped Jin to stand up and introduced himself. "I'm Dylan, and I'm also assuming you want a place to stay." He mentioned to Jin as he picked up the boys belonging and stuffed them in the discarded backpack on the ground.

"I'm Jin. And what do you mean? You're not saying a little kid like you has their own apartment?" Jin asked. "Well, of course, I don't have my own apartment. I share it with a few other people in similar situations to you. Or, the both of us, I guess you'd say."

Dylan grabbed Jin by the arm and started to lead him to wherever they were going without another word. They walked about six blocks and ended up at an apartment building. It was made of aging brick and looked like the windows hadn't been cleaned since the place was first built. Jin followed the young teen into the stairwell and they climbed up to the second floor and entered the apartment labeled 214.

Jin took in the sight before him for a few seconds before he was bombarded with noise. A small man with mint hair walked out of the hallway and sent a glare to the rowdy people in the living room, a second before all noise stopped instantaneously.

"Why in the world are all of you making such loud noises at such an early time in the morning?" The mint man asked ominously.
