The phone call

He took me hand and gripped it tightly, he whispered sweetly in my ear "I love you." CRASH! I felt his grip slip from mine. "Riley? RILEY?" I screamed.

"Laura?" A voice said. I awoke from my nightmare and saw my new husband Riley by my side with eyes of concern starring into mine. "Another bad dream huh?" He asked. "Yeah." I replied. Riley had deep blue eyes, dark brown hair and very cute dimples. He was a Fortnite streamer and YouTuber as was I.

He picked me up and ran to the white couch in our living room. He plopped me down on the couch and took a seat next to me. "Laur, what was it about? I can't stand this. It's doing something to my girl!" "Well we were running from something and a grenade blew up on the floor below you. It made a big crash and I couldn't find you so I started screaming. I was scared of losing you." I explained. He kissed my forehead and said "You will never lose me." I smiled.

After the chat, I dragged myself into the kitchen and poured 2 cups of coffee, one for Ry and one for me. As I drank the beverage I starred at the Los Angeles sunrise, it was calming.

I suddenly heard Lush life by Zara Larsson play. It was my phone ringtone. I picked up the iPhone X and said "Hello?" A familiar voice came out with "Darling, this is mummy." She continued "We are having a family celebration at our house on Saturday and was wondering if you would like to come." "Sure." I replied. "What time and where?" My parents are very rich and they move countries and continents a lot so I had to ask that. "Perth, Australia at 12:30!" My mum exclaimed.

I was born in Sydney, Australia on the 12th of the 1st  1994. Yes I am 24 and happily married. I have Blonde hair and blue eyes. Although living in America for 6 years, I still have my Aussie accent and that means I get into quite a few conversations when I am ordering coffee at Starbucks. One lady asked me about the difference between British thongs and Aussie thongs. I just walked away, Jokes. If someone had the nerve to ask that question then they must be worth talking to and she was. Imogen is my best friend now and still sticks with me even though if have had more boyfriends than 7/11 slurpees! I thought about what I was going to tell Riley because he doesn't really like my parents. Oops, I almost forgot, he wasn't actually invited!
