Chapter1- The Beginning...

Ok this is only a little bit of the first chapter

~Bens POV~

"MUM! IM GOING TO CALL FOR Eloise!"I shout up the stairs to mum, in hope she heard me. I'm walking out of the house and see Jonny. He's across the road on the field playing football with all the older kids. I can't wait 'til I'm big enough to play with them, and El could come too! Like to play kick about or football, or even penalties!

I walk up to Eloise's door and knock it 3 times with my blue and white football under my arm, she doesn't answer so I place the ball on the ground, and put my foot on top of it to hold it in place. I knock again, this time louder and only once. Her dad answers,

"Oh hiya,Ben, you ok?" He asks politely. He looks down at me and smiles.

"Dad, leave him alone, I'm here now. Go on, back in or your bread will get cold!" I hear El say as she comes up behind him. As soon as she appears from behind him I just smile and I can't contain it, she's just so perfect. She is the most amazing best friend anyone could ask for! I love her.

"Hey Ben! So, eh, just the usual going round the park, and that?" Eloise asks sounding a bit off with me. As I watch her, her gaze turns to her shoes, she gets embarrassed and starts kicking stones.

"Eh, yeah, sure, you ok? El, you are ok, aren't you?" I ask very worried, she never gets like this! She's usually really bubbly and eager to get out of the house and go out to the park with me.

"I-I-I-yeah I'm fine, Ben don't be worried!" Eloise says, clearly lying. So I just grab her hand, and walk with her hand-in-hand, to the park.

*Eloises POV*

Me and Ben walk to the park, holding hands. He is the bestest friend ever and we talk to each other every minute of every day. We always go to the park to play football or man hunt or hide and seek and we always enjoy ourselves. When we go out we are out for like 4 and 5 hours at a time and we are ALWAYS late for dinner and get in trouble but we use our cute puppy dog eyes to get out of trouble!

"El pass the ball!!!" I hear Ben screaming from across the pitch, we have been here for a while now and I keep switching of and going into my own wee world.

"Oh sorry Ben! I forgot! Hey I'm getting hungry, do you wanna come back to mine to get something to eat like a sandwich and a glass of milk or something?" I ask politely. Ben nods his head, picks up the ball and walks towards me.

"C'mon then, what are ya waiting on! Tip you're it!" He says and starts sprinting away on me! I chase after him but I run into the curb and trip up.

"OW!" I shriek, Ben can't hear me bc he's too far away!

He turns around as he can't hear me breathing behind him, he looks around for a spilt second then looks down and sees me, curled up on the footpath screaming in pain, hugging my ankle.

"Eloise, what, what's wrong?!" Ben says calmly then starts to panic. He comes over,kneels down beside me and wraps his arm around my shoulder and rubs my arm for comfort.

"Shush, El it's ok, I'll go home and get your mum or dad" he whispers in my ear through my hair, it tickles, so I laugh.

"What are you laughing at, I thought you hurt your ankle!?" He says smiling.

I think before I answer as I need a good enough excuse to laugh, but really the only reason is because I'm enjoying myself, and even though I'm in pain, Ben always makes me smile.

"Eh, yeah I have, but,the way your dealing with things, is super funny!" I say breaking out into a massive laughing fit at the end. I can't take things like this serious 😂

"Oh, yeah,yeah! Anyway, c'mon if you can laugh, you can at least TRY to walk!" He says sniggering and making the word 'try' really noticeable.

I slowly and gently get up of the ground and limp really badly, home! With Ben, walking behind me for extra support. We eventually reach my house and, Ben opens the door for me and calls my mum. She comes down to the door and brings us in.

"What has you two in early today,then?" My mum states the obvious.

We just look at each other, and start pissing ourselves laughing! I look to Ben as if to say, "You tell her!" And he gets the hint and nods his head.

"Well, we were fine until, she got hungry and while walking home she was running after me and fell up the curb and damaged her ankle!" He says point at me when he said 'she'. We both just smile remembering it!

"Aw I see! We'll are you I know, El?" Mum checks.

"Yeah I'm fine just a little sore nothing major!" I say.
