Eletrical Station

Anna's POV

Our fast walking becomes runs as we could feel the ground begin to shake beneath us.  Lucky for us, we had made it to the electrical room. Ahead Owen checks the surrounding quickly due to our incoming not so friendly stalker and we run through the large mental gates closing them firmly behind us. "Help me grab that cabinet Zach" asks Owen pushing the large cabinet sideways towards the steel doors. "Okay I know we are inside and away from that thing but, who wants to bet that we are not the only ones in here?" I say looking around at the wrecked building suspiciously. "Okay let's find a room that's safe, bored it up & try and get the systems back on, that way we can lock the steel doors while we look for the communication decks" Owen replies to my worry. "Anna, once we have the control room secured I want you to stay with clare and the boys, I'll look for the communications room" he adds. "What? Absolutely not Owen! Your not going alone" I say looking over at clare who in the very same moment sternly said "No way, I'm coming with you". Clare eyed Owen knowingly. Clearly he knew that face to well and backed down after a heated argument. I'm not happy about this but I agree to stay in the room with the boys & try and work the controls. Zach and Grey walk towards me, with Grey holding onto my side. "Zach, watch them. Make sure you guys stay safe" he gives Zach an extra gun he had been carrying. "I'll protect her with my life Owen, be safe" Zach answers holding onto my brothers outreached hand glancing my way as he does so. "Owen I-" I'm cut off with my brother knowing all to well ok about to protest. "Anna please for me, I will feel better knowing your safe, I will be fine. Me and Clare have this" I hug him as Zach and Grey Hug Clare and we start off to find the control room.
10 minutes go by and eerily silence fills the halls. "There is is" clare points. We head in but before we do stop dead in our tracks as we here a low roaring sound. "Yeah I don't think we are alone in here" I say scanning the area. "Get inside now!" Owen pushes as we bundle into the control room locking the door behind us. "Okay so, over here should be the switching systems, they must have went down during well this madness, there should be-" clear grunts "ah the back up booster" she says as she fiddles with a few wires and suddenly all lights and machines light up. "Clare you are amazing" Owen says grabbing her cheeks in pure joy. She blushes and we all notice. I smirk as Owen moves away quickly to inspect the systems. "Over here" shouts Zach " I think this one controls the locks in the rooms we can secure this area and then the communication room when you get there" he says smiling up at us as we move down to see the computer and it's options. "There Zach, electrical control locks" I say as we both reach for the button labelled "electrical room" our hands touch and I awkwardly pull away as we after a quick awkward pause pushes the button. With a loud clank  the doors seal shut and a small sigh of relief leaves the group.

Zachs POV

Owen moves to grab his gun which he had placed on the counter next to the computers and announces that it's time he and Clare head off to find the communication room, luckily when fiddling with the computers we noticed the electrical room can communicate to the communication room, so we would be able to know if they arrived safely or contact each other. "Okay guys, once we leave reseal these doors and do not open then for anyone or anything but us" Owen warns as he gathers his things and motions Clare to follow. "Anna, stay put, be safe and don't do anything stupid please" Anna laughs nervously though and I see her hands shaking at her side. Instantly, I grab her hand in mine hidden out of view. My fingers intertwine with hers, I can feel her shock for a moment until she squeezes my hand back and holds tight. This feels right, and I forget everything that's happening in that moment until I hear my name and Anna's hand twitch in my hand. "Zachary!!..." Clare says loudly getting my attention. "Sorry yes, I was just thinking" I say quickly looking up at Owen who looked unamused. "Listen boy, your in charge keep them safe, keep your eyes peeled & listen for our call" he says directly to me and I nod in reassurance. "Stay safe guys" I say as I unlock the doors as they head out in the now lit up hallways as the doors clunk resealing. A few moments pass and our hands are still together. I turn to face Anna. "Anna, he's going to be okay" I say as I take her other hand. She looks at me and her eyes look red and puffy from lack of sleep and worry. "Let's get some rest okay. It's all a waiting game for us right now" I say giving her a smile. Anna smiles at me "thanks Zach" and hugs me tightly. "Let's rest" she says as we let go and make our way to a spot in the corner where grey has already fallen asleep. We take a seat a few feet away from Grey so we could talk without worrying him. I slide down the wall next to Anna offering my coat as a sort of blanket we can both share as she only had a small denim jacket on. She smiles and pulls it over our legs and says "I bet you didn't expect this type of experience when you decided to come to the famous Jurassic world" she tried to joke lightly out of a bad situation. I laugh smiling at her "well not exactly, but if I hadn't come I wouldn't have met you" I say smiling down at her catching her eyes with mine. The space felt like it was closing in slowly, it felt almost like time was going still and then....
