What We Are

Prologue

I have always been supportive to Jeron. He is my best friend ever since we were in primary school. He has always been my knight in shining armor and he never fails to be a very good friend to me. Our friendship has always been platonic. Meaning, we do things without malice. I love to hug him and kiss him on the cheek and guess what, not a single awkwardness or malice came to me, not even close!

Jeron is very handsome for your information. He is actually the heartthrob in our school. He has this black hair with a haircut like the one with Lee Min Ho in my favorite Korean drama The Heirs and it really looks good on him. He is actually taller than me, but not that super duper tall, he is 5'8 and I think it is fair enough. He is smart but not smarter than me. Well, he is always the top 2 in our class, next to me, of course, because I always win the throne of the smartest kid in the class.

Sejong Academy is the name of our school. We are very lucky to be able to study in this prestigious secondary school in Korea. Me and Jeron studied so hard just to get into this school. Well the acceptance rate of Sejong Academy is only 7.1%, meaning only the brightest students across South Korea can come in and thank God, I and Jeron are one of those students. The uniform in Sejong Academy has a blue vest with a white blouse inside and a blue ribbon with matching black pencil cut skirt and as for the boys' uniform, a black pants, white collared long sleeves and a blue ribbon with a combination of blue vest for guys.

The campus is so huge and beautiful. We have modern glass pegged buildings and has a very environmentally friendly surroundings.

Every morning, Jeron and I walk together going to Sejong Academy. Our houses are just around the corner and that is why we only walk every morning.

Jeron's family is actually rich and very respectable. Her mother, Lee Chae Yoon is one of the best lawyer in Korea while her father, Lee Mong Hyuk is the current chief justice of our country. Our families are actually friends, my father is very close with Jeron'a father and my mother and her mother are also good friends. Both of my parents are surgeons and are considered one of the best surgeons in Asia and I always been the most proud and luckiest daughter in the world. Both of our parents support whatever career we want to take or have in the future. Lucky enough for Jeron's parents, his dream is to become a successful lawyer just like his parents.

Everything has been just fine between the two of us, not until our last year in high school where everything had become surreal.
