"Carla, you wake up now. I've already told you that we will be early in moving to your halmeoni's house." Her mother pats her butt. It's the only way to wake her up.

She lazily gets up or else, she'll be a dead meat to her eomonie if she continues sleeping. "Aigoo, why do we have to move eomonie? Everything is fine here in Seongnam."

"I'm going to pinch your nose if you keep on asking that. How many times do I have to repeat that your halmeonie's last wish is for us to stay in her old house huh?"

"Her old scary house." She murmurs.

"Are you saying something?" Her mother raises a brow to her.

She fakes a smile. "Of course, none!"

"Good."

"—But eomonie, I'm going to miss my friends here."

"What? Your guy friends? Aigoo, that's one of my basis why I decided to accept that we will stay in your halmeoni's house. At least, your uncle's daughter, Mi-Cha is there to influence you." Mi-Cha is her father's niece. She is her closest cousin as far as she could remember during her childhood days.

"Chincha? They are also living in that area?" Aigoo, I'm sorry mother, Mi-Cha hate to meddle someone's life.

"Ne. I found it out yesterday. You won't be lonely or feel awkward there anymore."

"How about my school eomonie? It's already my last year in high school."

Her mother pushes her towards her room's bathroom. "You're going to be transferred to Mi-Cha's school. It's an all girls' school."

"WHAAATTT?" Her eyes widen. "I don't like all girls' school eomonie. Aishh, all they care is make up, do girly things... Urgh! I hate those stuffs!"

Her eomonie gives her a blow on her head. "That is what I am trying to fix! Aigoo, I should have scolded your father for treating you as a boy."

"Eomonie." A bright idea comes in her mind. She puts her two index fingers together while smiling at her mother. "Why don't you and ahbuji makes me a brother or sister?" She immediately closes her bathroom's door when she sees her mother's angry face.

"You're really giving me heart attack! Aigoo. We are too old for that you little rascal!"

Carla chuckles. She knows the real reason behind it. Her father becomes impotent after he got involved in a car accident, but her parents already accepted the fact and now she always uses it for teasing her parents.

She cringes as she sees the dusty ancient house her halmeoni owns. "SCCCAAARRRRYYYY."

Her father ruffles her hair. "We only need to get the dusts, clean the house, repair some of its damage part and repaint and then presto! Everything will be back to its normal beauty again." Her father shows his closed fist to her which she gladly hits with her closed fist too. "Are you game for that Carla?"

"Of course!"

"Aigoo... My daughter's future!" Her mother pats her head in hopeless.

The day after their arrival, they start doing their agenda. It's easy for Carla to do the repair since her father trained her for household chores.

"I'm going to the att—"

Carla's mother holds her ear and pulls her away from the secret stairs towards their attic. "Your halmeoni forbids you to go to the attic my dear."

"Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!" She checks her ear to the mirror. It's now red.

"Not unless you get married. I don't need to repeat it again and again right, Carla?"
