Summary: The List is made every year. The government selects ten of the world's most prettiest, most popular or most dangerous teenagers and takes them away from anything they've ever know; their families, friends, homes, everything. These ten teenagers are genetically transformed with a new special power and given a new life where they are practically slaving for the government. Doing all their dirty work.

Lyca Kincad is the President's daughter. With her father widowed and abusive, Lyca is just about finished with all his business. But she can't leave; as a face on every teenage girl's Holo-pad, she's one of the most popular teens in the world. Her father and his people won't let her get them a bad reputation.

But, Lyca isn't all innocent as she lets everyone think. She is not only one of the most popular teens, or the most prettiest, but also one of the most dangerous. Making her a perfect target for her father's list.

The List date is coming nearer, and Lyca is about to question everything she knows about her father, about her government, trust and family. A tale of betrayal, learning, romance and rebellion, Lyca Kincad is just a girl in a harsh future trying to survive.

                                                        ~Prologue~

It was all over every TV in the world. On every billboard and Holograph in the streets. On every child's holo-pad. In every Escreen.

Not directly, of course. That would be 'purposturous'. Wrong on so many levels.

No way. It was given to every mayor by one of the government officials in secret. So they could read them to their people in public. The moment every name was out, every news caster and magazine was talking about it. They were waiting for the day when the poor ten teenagers were given their new inhuman beauty, their new powers, so they could take pictures and give interviews to the new 'power of the government'.

No one really knew who wrote the list. No one really knew what happened to those teenagers after their names became known, their faces in every magazine and words on every child's electronics.

Well, except for me. I was the President's daughter. The one teenager who was inside the circle.

I knew my father wrote that list.

I knew that those ten teens, every single year, were trained to become warriors and asassins, doing his dirty work with their new super-human abilities.

And I was the government's jewel. The girl who took everyone's attention away from the horrible fate those kids faced. The face that took over every year once they were sent off to do 'good for the world'.

But not anymore.

The most pretty, popular, dangerous teens were picked and put on the List. Now, who does my father know that is pretty? Whose face is all over the holo-pads, televisions and billboards? Who has done a deed that could've gotten them in huge trouble with the government... but never got caught?

Me. The perfect person for his List.

Now you might be asking: what kind of father would put their daughter on their own List?!

Even I don't know the answer to that. All I know is that my last hope of family is abandoning me. And I am about to be in major trouble.
