Tony's POV

When I woke up, Anne wasn't under my arm the way she was last night. I heard Jaime rushing up and angrily muttering something under his breath and then a door slam shortly after. I decided to get up to find her.

The search didn't take that long. She was downstairs sitting on the couch between Valerie and Vic. Once again, her face was wet and the couple sitting on either side of her shot me the 'what do we do, please help' looks. I motioned to the door and they glanced back down at her before silently leaving the room. I crouched down in front of her.

"Anne?" I seemed to have scared her a little but she recovered once she saw it was me.

"Oh, hey Tony." She was trying to wipe her eyes of all the tears that were falling but they were abundant. She looked back down at her hands and had seemingly stopped crying, but it started up again. I took her face in my hands gently and gave her a firm stare.

"Anne, you have to stop. I understand your mother kicked you out but we are here for you. I swear." Her sobs stopped a little and she looked up at me. I hated seeing her beautiful brown eyes cry so hard.

"Good. Now, your mom was wrong for kicking you out but there is nothing you can do about it. All you can do now is buck up, and show her you can do just fine without her." I kissed her forehead and wiped the tears off her face. "Now promise me you'll try." She nodded vigorously with a new smile now on her face.

"I promise." I held out my arms for a hug and she embraced me happily. Then what she said next scared me half to death.

"Well, if I'm going to make a living, I should put my work into pratice." My eyes popped open and I pulled away but the devious smile on her face said it all.

"Don't move or I'll kill you!" With that, she ran off and came back down with a bag full of makeup. I groaned.

I sat still for half an hour while Anne did my makeup and I wanted to leave so bad but it made her so happy. When I heard a car pull into the driveway, I panicked and tried to jump up. Anne pulled me back down.

"Anne, none of the guys can see this!"

"Tony just let me get a picture!" I sat for a picture and she looked at me angrily.

"Smile!" she growled out and I did as I was told. She took a photo with her phone and I raced up the stairs just as soon as Jaime walked through the front door.

Up in the bathroom, I took a wet cloth and vigorously scrubbed at the blush and eyeshadow on my face. It only smeared. Feet coming up the stairs told me someone was up here and I heard a knock on the door.

"Tony?" It was Anne's voice. I swung the door open and she laughed at my appearance. I scrunched up my eyebrows and squinted while she took the awful products off my face with a magic wipe.

Vic's POV

As soon as Tony dismissed us from the room, I went back over to my parents' house with my guitar in the back seat. I opened the door - I always had a key - and went straight up to my old room. They didn't seem to be home which was fine, and I immediately began strumming.

"She sits up high, surrounded by the sun

One million branches and she loves everyone

Mom and dad, did you search for me?

I've been up here so long, I'm going crazy!"

The lyrics I sang were to a song I was trying to perfect. None of the guys had heard it yet, they just knew that we needed one more song for the album, and this was it. I kept singing and the part I was trying to finish writing came to me naturally.

"If I were you, I'd put that away

See you're just wasted and thinkin' bout the past again

Darlin' you'll be okay..."

I paused and kept strumming and vocalized with it. For some reason it just felt right to have those words there as lyrics.

"And as the sun went down

We ended up on the ground

I heard the train shake the windows

You screamed over the sound

And as we own this night,

I put your body to the test with mine

This love was out of control

Tell me, where did you go?"

There was a sudden knock at the open door frame and I saw Mike standing there leaning against the doorway.

"So this is the final track for the album? Sounds good, but it needs a female part where you were just vocalizing."

"Mike, what're you doing here?"

"Hey, I still partially live here too, you know. But really, I knew I'd find you here. I need to ask you a question." I nodded for him to continue. "Okay well how do you know when you've fucked up?" I paused and thought about it. How did I know when I fucked up? I always just knew. It was that 'oh shit' feeling in the bottom of my stomach that just let me know.

"To be honest, I don't know if I can explain it. There are obvious signs but if no one gives you the obvious signs then I always get this 'oh shit' feeling in the pit of my stomach and I can't get rid of it. Why?" Disregarding my question, Mike pondered something before turning and hastily leaving the house. I shrugged.

Great. Now the mood is ruined.

I packed up my guitar and other music stuff I had with me and put it in the trunk of my car. I didn't know what to do with my day because I didn't have band practice and I didn't feel like being around anybody. I drove back to the PTV house and parked the car before opening the trunk and quickly whipping out my long board.

I skated around town for a while until I felt hungry. The sun was still pretty high and I grabbed my phone out my pocket. The phone screen read three. Clicking it off, I ended up stopping by a small burger joint that had good food.

When I walked in, I wasn't paying attention to the line and bumped right into a really tall guy. He turned around to look at me and I looked at him and his familiar brown eyes bulged open. He ran out the line and into a car that had a girl and a baby in the front seat. I got his license plate number.

67QY3B4

I committed that to memory before returning back into the burger place. I got my burger, my fries, and I left.

Mike's POV

I was driving home and thinking of ways to possibly fix things with Jayne. She was acting like things were okay but I knew they weren't. I'm not an idiot, I see right through her. My ringing phone was the only thing that brought me out my train of thought. It was the band's tour manager.

"Hello?"

"One month."

"One month!?"

"Yes. Do you think you can finish the album by then?"

"Yeah! We've just got a few loose ends to tie up and one more song to do, then we should be good."

"Alright! Do that, and tell the boys!"

"Thanks, Ash!"

Ashlynn's the best. We were planning a tour with Sleeping with Sirens but we had no idea when it was going to happen. Ashlynn took care of that nicely and now it was my job to suprise the guys.

Just finish up the album and then we have one month until this tour. Nice.
