Chapter 17: When Two Worlds Collide

The next day, my mom suggested me to take my wounded leg for a walk, just to keep it going on. I refused, as usual and my mom forced me, as usual. It was 4pm when I left the Golden Lords mansion and found myself walking around a stranded park with my crutches. I could've gone to the city park but it's just so....crowded.

The stranded park was my favorite place to be to escape problems and worries. As I was walking around, my brain somehow shoved up every single incident that has happened to me till now. The day when I first met Ryan, Mom's note in the mailbox, a mysterious stalker in the house, reading letters from Mom saying that I'm the heir of The Golden Lords, Melody and Theodore's beloved love story and me being related to Melody or should I say my great-great-great grandmother, the sudden attack in Cupid's Square Park, the awkward conversation between me and Dad, and here I am now.

I looked at my wristwatch to see that it's 5pm now. Mon warned me to come back home before 7pm, she's really worried...same old Mom.

I continued walking when my eyes fell on his midnight-black hair and misty eyes to the ground as he walked towards my direction. I stopped on my tracks and looked at his extravagant beauty that held melancholy, and I wonder how he managed to look so attractive.

He all of a sudden lifted his head and looked straight into my eyes, making my stomach go upside down. His eyes never moved from mind as he walked closer. My heart started running hastily as he took each step closer. I hadn't seen him for a day or two but looking at him now felt like it's been centuries since we met.

There he was, standing right in front me. There was only a millimetre distance between us as I could feel his breath brushing on my pale cold skin. His dark eyes never left my emerald eyes. He kept on looking through me, making my heart jump constantly and butterflies fluttering inside my stomach. It felt like two worlds just collided into each other and became one. One was Ryan's and the other was mine.
