'Ding-a-ling.' The doorbell to the bar chimed as Orion unlocked the bar and entered into it. Orion loved that sound. He loved it so because it was like an announcement that someone had entered or left Nora Robert's bar.

That was where Orion worked. He was a barkeep there. Orion had been working there since the bar had opened. So a good three and a half years now. He had been cross trained from barkeep to waiter but he didnt much like being the waiter.

He didn't like being a waiter because he preferred hiding behind the bar and only interacting with people when they wished for a drink. It was a very limited interaction.

Orion pushed his shir fluffy orange hair out of his face as he turned on his heel and grabbed one of the aprons that was hanging off a hook on the wall. He then kicked the door closed with his left foot.

As Orion was walking towards the bar he tied the apron around his waist. He then slid across the counter of the bar and landed behind it. A small smile spread across his face. He got away with quite a bit since he had been working there so long.

Not only that but he had gotten to become good friends with the owner of Nora Robert's bar. Nelly. He was also good friends with a couple of the other employees that worked there aswell.

Osiris grabbed a bar towel from a bucket on the ground and started to wipe down the bar and get it ready for tonight's opening.

He hummed softly, a classical tune that he had offen listened to. Orion cleaned the bar in small circles. His blue eyes focused on what he was doing.

The door chimed once again. Orion's eyes glanced up and a smile spread across his face as he watched Nelly groan and drop her umbrella onto the ground. "Rion we got hats."

She tossed a ball cap towards Orion which he caught. He then folded the cloth and set it on a shelf under the bar. "Cool Nel." He set the hat down and pulled a couple of containers of peanuts up and started to spread them out across the bar. A curtsey to the customers. "They look nice!"

He pulled a couple of pins off of his apron and pinned them to his hat. One that was of a moon and another that was a goldfish. He then pushed his bangs out of his eyes and pulled his hat on.

"Enjoying the weather?" He raised his eyebrows at her. Nelly hissed and turned to glare at Orion "You know I'm not."

Orion chuckled and leaned across the counter, he set his hands on his sharp jawline and grinned back at her. He flashed her a toothy smile, his fangs extended. "I know but it's still fun to tease you."

"Almost time to open you know." Nelly said softly.

Orion nodded his head and then turned around to continue to stock the bar. As he had reached down again to grab something from underneath the counter, he caught a glimpse of someone outside of the bar.

It was a dark skinned male with long black dreadlocks. Orion had narrowed his eyes as he bit his bottom lip. Things like this didnt happen often but they did happen.

Orion would have been a lot more concerned if the Male had stayed and watched him more. He might have even walked over to ask the male if he needed anything. However, the Male had turned to the side and walked away.

Orion then shook his head and put it out of his mind. He turned back around to continue stalking the bar. Occasionally turning his head to glimpse at the window to look for the other again.

•••••••••~

Orion was standing at the Bar door doing his last check of everything in the bar.

Nelly had gone home after last call had been made. She didnt have much to do since Orion and the other employees had pretty much cleaned everything up except the last couple floating glasses out in 'the field' as they called it.

Orion couldn't shake the feeling of being watched the entire time he was on shift. For some reason, the thought of meeting that man again sent shivers up his spine.

Orion ran a hand through his orange hair and ruffled it a bit. He was trying to relieve a bit of the superstitious feeling that was quaking his body.

Orion looked the bar over one last time. He finished going through his mental check list before he stepped out and locked the bar door closed.

• Dishes washed.
• Bar clean.
• Floor swept and mopped.
• Bathrooms cleaned.
• Windows washed.
• Lights turned off.
• Make sure nobody is going to be locked in.

Orion nodded his head and then he turned around and started his walk back to his car. As he walked he slipped the key into his pocket. He pulled the keys to Caroline, his old beater.

Just after he clicked the button to unlock Caroline a tall man with broad shoulders and a dark look stepped out from the shadow of the building.

"About time you left your hiding spot little kitten." The dark man purred towards Orion.
