"Darkfyre. I believe that you promised that we'd find Okura.." I said after a few hours later. I had tried to sleep, but wasn't able with Darkfyre being so close. I felt very cautious around him at the moment and I couldn't shake away the feeling that I wasn't safe. How could I ever truly trust him again?
"I know.." He got up off the bed where he had been laying around while we waited. I watched him for a moment and gave him a somewhat real smile. I watched as he walked up behind me, tracing his fingers over the long black coat that I wore. I looked back at him, "Well can we get going please?" I whispered, shivering some as I kept an eye on his hand.
"Of course, But Lil, are you sure that we are good..?" He frowned and moved around in front of me, resting his hands against my sides. I looked up, well that depends, but I kept my comment to myself and stood on my toes, only softly kissing him. "I'm sure.." I muttered quietly.
My answer appeared to please him and he ran a hand through my hair, looking over my face for a moment, "Alright, let's go find Okura." He smiled at me like he used to. I jumped to the door, cracking it open and peeking out at the forest ahead. It appeared that we were in the wall, but not in the door I had opened. I took a step out, it was still dark as it was still early in the morning. Darkfyre walked out behind me and pushed the door shut, "We can start where I last saw her.." He muttered and smiled.
I looked back, "You saw her? When?"
He sighed some and then I felt his hand gently and soothingly lay onto my shoulder, "I ran into her before I came to find you.. I tried to see if she would bring me to you, but she wasn't taking it. So I just put her on her ass and went to find you."
"You better not have hurt her!!!" I hissed, turning on him quickly.
He shook his head, "No, no, no. I just grabbed her and literally put her on her ass and ran. I didn't harm her."
"Better not have."
Darkfyre reached for my hand, as if in attempt to get closer to me, but I pulled back some. "Can we Just go?" I heard a sigh leave his lips as because of my actions. But he nodded and stepped ahead of me, leading me down and trail that lined across the huge unpleasant, dark and stone cold walls. There was a wet feel to it as I ran my hand over the uneven stone.
"Over there in the trees, there's a pair of trees that are crossed and twisted. That's where I last saw her." He pointed over to where he remembered. I didn't speak a word; only did I take off to where he pointed. It was a matter of only a minute until I found the twisted crossed trees.
Darkfyre led me up a trail that had been created by many footprints and what appeared to be drag marks, marks of a struggle playing out. It was covered by bushes and fallen rocks and sloped high into a valley. The path halted and a cave appeared. Ivy vines with poisonous fruit twisted around the cave and concealed the entrance that was a jagged opening into a cavern.
Darkfyre had noticeably became closer to me since we entered the cavern. It wormed its own path at least half a mile into the small mountain. Its shape was ovoid, the walls on the inside were smoothly curved to the floor as if carved out by humans and the walls above arched upwards at least another hundred feet, it seemed. I looked down, without conscious, grabbing onto Darkfyre's hand as I kicked my feet against the small, loose stones that littered the rough, rocky ground.
"Lil, look over there.." He pointed to where the dirt had a noticeably line of markings as if someone or something was being dragged deeper into the dark.
"Okura...?"bI nodded to him and called out for her, drawing my sword incase a large creature stepped out. Then he pulled me to the trail, "Keep an eye out.." he advised. As we followed the hard to see trail, a dim light started to come into our sight. There was a fire lit in the far side and a small woven mat that appeared to be made with dried grass.
