He took quick, shaky breaths as he stared down at the concrete floor, somewhat controlling himself and his breathing.
Inhale, Exhale. Inhale, Exhale.
He placed his hands over his tired face as hot tears stung the corners of his eyes. He soon dropped them to his sides as he slumped against the cold brick wall he leaned on, his mind racing with shitty thoughts that made him feel shitty stuff. He hated crying. Especially over stupid crap, but right now, he didn't give a fuck.
The teen tipped his chin up to the sky, tears slipping from his eyes and down his flushed cheeks. He was a mess. And over what, you may wonder?
That stoic, tough raven boy of South Park High school? He's scared. Terrified, even.
Craig-Motherfucking-Tucker is scared, and it pisses him off.
He dug his shitty nails into his shitty palms as he stared up at the shitty polluted sky of South park. At least the sky matched his mood.
The teen slowly exhaled, shutting his eyes as he felt the warm tears on his cheeks turn cold. He sniffles and looks down at the concrete once again, his chest tightening as he breathes in cold, mountain town air."Craig?"
He heard a concerned voice call out to him, startling the teen as he quickly uses his sweater sleeves to rub the tears from his eyes.
He turns his head to look at a wide-eyed Stan Marsh, the raven-haired idiot looking shocked.
"What the fuck are you doing here, Stan?" His voice sounded more demanding than questioning, his brows furrowing defensively as he straightens up from his slumped position.
Stan blinks, his dark hazel eyes still wide as he took in the sight. It was obvious Craig had been crying, his eyes red and his cheeks still wet with tears."Were.. Were you just crying?" He asked, his tone quiet, but cautious.
The question made Craig's chest tighten even more than it had, the corner of his mouth twitching as he felt himself become defensive. He couldn't let Stan, out of all fucking people know.
"What the fuck would it mean to you, Marsh?" He growled, wrinkling his nose as his brows stitch together with frustration.
Stan stared at him. Craig looked like a cornered dog; ready to attack at any moment. He frowned, realizing the pissy teen obviously wasn't going to be honest with him.
"It doesn't mean anything to me, dammit. Stop being such a defensive prick all of the time!" He retorted, his tone becoming sour.
The wind screamed in their ears as the two teens stared at each other, tension building between them. Craig suddenly gritted his teeth, stalking towards Stan, before stopping and towering over him, the pair face-to-face.
Stan couldn't help but stare at Craig's puffy eyes and flushed cheeks, he wanted to help, but he knew it wasn't an option with this asshole. Because when you're dealing with Craig Tucker, you have to stand your ground, or you get hunted down by the stoic teen. But, It was shocking for Stan to be able to see Craig Tucker like this, if someone like him was broken down enough to cry, he had to do something, right?
"Craig-" He was cut off by a sharp pain to his jaw, the blow shocking Stan. He raised a hand to touch his chin, before once again looking at Craig with wide eyes.
The raven quickly recollected himself, straightened up, and stared Craig down with an infuriated gaze."What the fuck, Craig!?" He roared, making fists at his sides as he glared daggers at the other boy.
He only got the same glare back, the other teen simply flipping him off in response and violently brushing past him.
Stan wasn't going to let Craig walk away like this. Fuck that.
He suddenly turns and yanks Craig's wrist, earning a surprised yelp from the other teen as he quickly spins around, trying to pull away from him.
"Stan- What the fuck? let go!" The other teen quickly averts his gaze, his voice becoming progressively more choked and small with each word.
His annoying blue chullo hid his expression as he desperately tries to pull his wrist away, the other teens actions becoming weaker with every second, before stopping. Craig stood there in defeat as Stan stared at him intensely, his cheek still stinging from being struck."Craig." He mutters, his chest sinking as he somewhat feels ashamed for putting him in this situation.
"Leave me the fuck alone." Craig's voice was almost a whisper, the response being a somewhat statement as the teen kept his head turned away from him.
The warm sunlight shone on the visible parts of his face that Craig couldn't hide from him, his gaze landing on the multiple warm tears streaming down his face as a trembling frown came over his bloody lips, which he assumed a result of Craig endlessly biting and chewing on them."Why won't you talk to me?" He softly asks, his grip on Craig's wrist loosening.
This was the last fucking thing Craig wanted to happen. Why couldn't Stan just let him walk away and they'd never have to talk about it again?
He slowly turns his head to look at Stan properly, the tears in his eyes falling uncontrollably as if they were endless waterfalls. He hated this, he hated the feelings he was experiencing in this moment.
His chest tightened as he rested his gaze on the concerned and sympathetic looking Stan, almost for just a moment, feeling to open up to the other teen, but quickly dismissing it.He opened his mouth to reply, but found nothing to say in response to him. He was too choked to talk, anyways, so what would be the use?
He studied Stans facial features, the other teens' eyes wide with patient concern and a serious frown on his lips as he rests a determined gaze on him.
"There's nothing to talk about." he lies, his voice kept quiet as to not choke on it as he gently attempts to pull his wrist back, his tears coming to a stop as they slowly drip down his chin, the teen softly biting his bottom lip in a nervous fret.
Stan stares at him for a moment that to him seemed like an hour, before hesitantly letting go of his wrist.
Craig stares, before walking away.
