Chase's pov

Despite the fact that I'm not going to school this week my mom still felt that it was appropriate to wake me up early to go to the hair salon - like I want to watch her get her hair done but I'd rather not make my mom angry right now. I take a shower and then I put on a black hoody and black ripped jeans with black shoes. What I like the colour black ok?

"Chase let's go I don't have all day!" Mom yells from downstairs I sigh and drag myself downstairs I grab an apple and head outside to my mom's car.

"So I managed to get you an appointment with your aunt Sophia to get that nasty dye out of your hair." She says and my eyes widen.

"But mama I like my hair this way." I say mentally face palming for not realising that this would apply to me.

"It makes you rebellious keep the art on paper not on your body plus this is part of your punishment." She says and I take a bite out of my apple while she hums along to a tune playing on the radio. I look at the sideview mirror and sigh so I was going back to plain old dirty blond hair.

"We're not going to cut it right?" I ask the fear seeping into my voice. What? The last thing I need is a buzzcut.

"No I think you have a cute hairstyle." She responds and I release a breath I didn't even know I was holding. I finish off my apple as we drive into the mall parking lot. I follow behind her as she leads the way to Sophia's. A bell rings as we walk into the salon.

"Sophie!" My mom squeals. Are moms supposed to do that?

"Bella!" My aunt squeals equally excited calling my mom by her nickname. They hug and start chatting about whatever while I'm standing here awkwardly looking around. The salon is black and white themed with a checkerboard patterned floor. My aunt is slightly shorter than my mom and she has long black hair and hazel eyes while my mom has curly brown hair and deep green eyes.

"And there's my little troublemaker. He's so cute!" My aunt says pinching my cheeks snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Aunt Sophia..." I moan pushing her hands away from my face.

"Sophia I will leave him in your capable hands while I get my nails done. Chase behave." My mom says giving me a warning look and I raise both my hands in surrender and she gives me one more look before waving at Aunt Sophia and exiting the salon.

"What're we gonna do with you Chase." She says

"Love me?" I say

"Well, follow me so we can change your tacky hair." She says

"Ouch. I actually like it this way." I whine

"Well it would look better if you had your natural hair colour. Have a seat." She says pushing me into a a chair.

"Hey!" I say actually shocked that she pushed me, but I wouldn't expect any less from a sibling of my mother. She washes my hair putting strange substances into my hair.

"What is that?" I ask letting curiosity. get the best of me. She just laughs.

"What hair products do you know?" She asks I shrug.

"Shampoo, conditioner... Ummm water." I say as cool water runs down my scalp.

"Typical Chase ok sit up." She says wiping my hair then grabs a blow dryer and dries my hair before taking me to a mirror.

"Ta-da." She says and I look at my plain old dirty blond hair. I frown at it until she smacks me upside the head.

"Ow!" I say rubbing my head.
