I walked through the halls, carrying my books in hand as a sigh escaped my lips. It was another long day of school and the hallways were crowded as always. I walked over to my locker, twisting the combination in before opening it place all the books inside. I was about to close it back shut when suddenly—

"NOAH!" A loud voice exclaimed right beside my ear making me jump.

I whipped my head around to see my best friend Nova Louis, the thickest sister in town. She was a short, black girl who constantly wouldn't stop talking about snatching other people's weaves. She let out a hearty laugh at my reaction making me blush. Did I mention she was little bit too obsessed with me?

"Awe you're so cute, Noah." She exclaimed wrapping an arm around my shoulder. "Sorry I scared you."

I just smiled sheepishly as Celeste came walking up behind her, a mischievous glint evident in her eyes. I watched as Celeste, my other best friend scare the living daylights out of Nova.

"Boo." She said monotonously.

Suddenly Nova was in my arms shaking before calmly down at the sight of Celeste. "It's about time someone gave you a taste of your own medicine." She said giving me a high five as I burst out in laughter.

Nova jumped out of my arms and frowned up at her bestie. "Hmph."

Celeste was the more serious and smart one out of the pair. Being the aesthetically pleasing angel that she was, she had the honorary title of being my best friend and protector. She was pretty scary when she got mad....

We walked down the hall together, making jokes and laughing about random things. Sure, high school could be hard especially being a healer with is something that almost every species wants to get their hands on but Nova and Celeste made life a bit easier.

Suddenly, I was knocked backwards as I ran into something extremely hard. "Argh, did I run into a wall?"

"Noah!" Nova exclaimed looking down at me worriedly.

Celeste stood over us arms crossed over her chest as she stared up at something looking extremely upset. Nova stood right beside her also upset.

"Watch where you're going." She uttered coldly.

"Yeah, if ya didn't notice, our friend here is fragile." Celeste said, narrowing her eyes.

"H-hey I'm not that..." I started, getting up from the floor. I accidentally looked up to see an extremely handsome guy, ignoring both Nova and Celeste, his eyes focused on me. I felt my cheeks heat up tremendously underneath his stare, making my heart accelerate.

"Excuse me?" A high pitched annoying voice said rudely, making the hallway go silent.

From behind that guy I had bumped into, the queen bee herself appeared in front of us, Diana Blanc. She was your blonde, stick-figure, barbie doll that was all beauty and no talent. She was also a werewolf, the dominating species that this school was home to. She was always supposedly "blessing" us with her grace and beauty.

"How dare you bump into us like that? You band geeks and whatever the clairvoyant girl is need to step off." She said crossing her arms over her chest sassily.
