So guys here is the back story of Bhadrak and his wife's marriage and how they fell in love. I thought, the story already got the bit of introduction is needed so here I am, with a direct shot to the past.
" Everything in life cannot, some of the events are better unplanned"~~~
After a long day's walk Bhadrak needed a bit of rest. He had to walk down the road for two moons and three suns. His city Lothal was not quite close to this village Ari, where his father had asked him to go, visit and bring back a cartload filled with Barley sack.
"But why would they give us even a pinch of Barley without anything in exchange?" his father had only glared at him and he knew better to be quiet in front of this ancient personality.
The chirping of the birds and a rushing sound of water brought him back to the ae present.
Right after he crossed a brook through a few skipping stones, he could hear feminine sounds of laughter and joviality.
The moon is about to rise, then why do I hear these strange sounds that too of a woman? Is it a siren?
For a moment he was terrified but as he took a few steps forward he could see, fire glistening close to the woods.
Thank god! a human, but what is she doing here so late? he tried to strain his neck and see if anything else was visible, but it was all in vain.
Maybe straining my neck was not a good idea, but I think there's a child with her, he was a man of dignity and he couldn't leave this woman and a child alone in the woods.
Instead of following his father's directions, he started walking towards the forest.

She straightened her spine as soon as she heard the crusting of leaves; someone or something was nearing them. She motioned her niece to be quiet, handed her the pyre and whispered to stay put. Carrying her bow in own hand and affixing the quiver on her other shoulder, she started walking stealthily towards her predator.
These things do come in handy sometimes, she smiled inwardly.
The full moonlight helped her trace down the path and as the distance between her and 'the being' became closer she saw a faint silhouette of a man.
Who is this person walking towards our village at this hour?
To quench her curiosity she covered the remaining distance between them quickly and almost knocked him down in the process.

"Lord,...Woman!" his voice was full of irritation; he was about to use some profanities but a look on her face literally knocked him down again.
He had never seen anyone so beautiful as her, especially her light brown doe eyes had almost captured his heart, unlike any other woman, though he hadn't been with many, yet his town, Lothal was a huge dockyard and the women there could not compete with her beauty.
A light tug on his shoulder brought him back to reality, "Stop staring at me and answer my question."
"Yes, lady what did you want to know", he replied with the gentlest tone he could muster.
"Why are you here at this late hour?" her innocent question made him quirk his brow.
When was able to turn his eyes away from her face, he noticed that she was carrying a bow and a quiver full of arrows.
And here I thought she needed protection.
"Sorry, I forgot to mention earlier, but I am here to meet Bhriguraj, the chief of Kinnaras." he stumbled trying to maintain a reserved expression, yet efficiently failing to do so.
Unable to control herself at this strange look, she giggled softly " and here I thought you came to visit me", she jested.
He wasn't able to form any coherent sentence and so kept quiet staring at the forest behind her.
"Let us go visit him then" when no further replies were given, she asked him to follow her.
He was quite content to follow her, although at the back of his mind a mystery remained unsolved, Who is this beautiful woman? And how does she know Bhriguraj?
So their story is just about to begin, I thought of segregating the chapters into 3 or more, delving into their romance will be even more difficult.

Because the night is young and the lady is beautiful with a quiver full of arrows 😁😁
