Chapter One

Blinking blearily, he looked around.

It looked as if he was on a river bank. He was shivered.

Weakly dragging himself up, he stumbled over to a patch of sunlight. He warmed himself up in the sun, examining himself. His clothes were torn up and he saw red all over himself.

He looked back up, blinking. The world was blurry. He could make out where he was, but all the usually crisp details blurred into each other.

He saw a road, seeing the blurred sign. He vaguely remembered the way back to Lima.

Wrapping his arms around himself, he started off on his way.
