Rei and takashi sat on on the rooftop have each other Rei was crying while takashi sat in silence as makeshift barricade slowly falling apart. Takashi was still in shock he had to kill one of his best friends, if Jin had stayed with them he would have ended it with no remorse but it was done by takashi his clothes and hands were covered in hasashi's blood.

"He would have bitten you if I didn't do that," said Takashi.

"I didn't ask you to save me!" Rei said in a growl. "How would you know, anyway? What are you, some kind of expert?" She sniffed and looked down at Hisashi. "… I would've been willing to get bitten. Better to die like that than survive by doing something like this …"

"I don't think Hisashi would have wanted that for you," said Takashi.

"How would you know that, Takashi!?" Rei's face broke out in a deranged smirk, like she was mocking him. "Oh, I know, you must've hated Hisashi, right? Because he was dating me!"

Silence returned after the statement, knowing that these two had a lot of emotional baggage to sort out. This, however, was too harsh and Rei knew it. Takashi was bitter about the fact that Rei dumped him and started going out with Hisashi, sure, but he had never hated the guy.

Takashi just started walking over to the barricade. He wasn't saying a word. Even worse, he wasn't making any effort to deny what Rei had just said.

"Where do you think you're going!?" Rei's tone was still aggressive.

Takashi turned around to face her. "You obviously don't want me around," he said blankly. "I'm gonna go downstairs and smash some heads."

Rei recoiled at his statement.

"What are you talking about?" asked Rei. Her voice had gone from angry to panicked. "You can't take that many by yourself!"

Takashi didn't respond. He started to climb over the barricade.

Rei suddenly ran forward and grabbed Takashi by the arm. She was crying again, and she was clinging to his arm like her life depended on it. "I'm sorry!" she cried. "I didn't mean it! I really didn't mean it! So, please … stay with me. Don't leave me!"

That was all the crying she got done before Takashi climbed down from the barricade and wrapped his arms around her in a tight hug. She seemed surprised by this, but hugged back after a few moments. They stood there without a word being said, simply resting in each other's arms.

Takashi smiled embracing in the hug more as he did the statement of Jin came back to him, he didn't want to leave the Embrace of Rei's body but the barrier was falling apart and they needed to get to the faculty room. Takashi slowly pulled away from Rei he heard her made an unsatisfying grunt at the action. "Okay, we have to get out of here you have to meet Jin in the faculty room apparently he has a plan"

Rei nodded "but how the hell are we get through so much of them without getting bitten?" They both looked around the roof for anything that they can use Rei when around the corner and popped her head back out with a smile.

"Remember when the fire-fighters showed us how the hoses work back in junior high?" Rei asked suddenly.

"Yea what about-" he turned towards her stopping mid-sentence as she held up a hoses. "Oh yeah that's definitely going to work" he ran up to her and grabbed the hoses, aiming it at the barrier

"Crank it!" Takashi yelled to Rei.

hearing the water flowing through the hose before he felt it, and before takashi knew it, the hose was spraying torrents of cold water at the deteriorating barricade. The flow of the water was so powerful that it broke through what remained of the barricade almost instantly and knocked any zombies in front of it off their feet.

Heading back into the school through the roof. It was relatively quiet where we were, as apparently the zombies had gone elsewhere to look for food. The two made there way carefully and quietly through the blood-soaked corridors of the once great school.

Blam!

The noise stopped Rei in her tracks. They both looked around, confused, wondering where the loud noise had come from. There wasn't much in the school that could produce a noise like that. It almost reminded me of a …

"Gunshot?" Takashi suggested.

"Not loud enough," Rei said. "If it was a real gun it'd be louder, and real ones don't echo like that did. It's probably makeshift from a bunch of crap they found lying around school. If they're still alive, we should probably go find them." She couldn't help the small spark of hope that sprung up within takashi. There was only one person takashi knew who could improvise a gun and have it work perfectly …

"They're coming from the faculty room," said Rei.

As they took off running in the direction of the supposed gunshots.  Running and resolve only increased when the scream sounded out: blood-curdling and terrified. Despite the situation and the need for other survivors, Rei could not help feeling dread encircle as she thought That scream sounds unpleasantly familiar …

And, whether it was a good thing or a bad thing, the scream came from someone takashi knew all to well.

Rei and takashi turned the corner near the faculty office and saw the screamer: Saya Takagi. She had bright pink hair that was tied up in two long ponytails. As they arrived, she was in the process of drilling a zombie between the eyes with a power drill. Its blood and brain matter flew everywhere as the tool spun around inside its cranium.

"Damn you!" Takagi-san screamed at it. "Die! Die!"
