There would always be talk of the world ending, but no one really thought it would happen so soon, no one imagined the earth awakening into a new form of poison and dirt ready to strike and destroy. The prophesied seven were reduced to five, two of whom lay in a pool of there own blood barely clinging to the threads of life. Percys heart was pounding in his ears and the growls of the surrounding monsters echoed in his scull. A mild concussion swayed his body and unsettled his stomach. His legs and arms were on fire, but he couldn't stop now, not with the end so close. Annabeths curls bounced within his peripheral vision as she dug her sharpened bone sword into the back of a cyclops. The puss yellow dust exploded in the air like a twisted fairy dust.
Riptide glistened with goo as Percy slashed through a hell hound in front of him and another creature to his left. Lightning struck the ground several feet away from him, obliterating a dracanae and several others under it. Percys eyes flicked to Jason who's chest heaved and hand reached towards the heavens. That strike must've have winded the son of Jupiter as he began to pale with every passing bolt he summoned, yet the determination and light behind his eyes never wavered.
But power alone wasn't enough. The monsters kept coming in never ending waves and the energy of the demigods was dwindling. In a last ditch attempt percy called out the others boys name.
"Jason!" His voice cracked and pitched from a previous painful hit to his trachea, "Grab my hand!" His hand stretched towards the electric boy who eyed him slowly before realization blossomed upon his features. To storm or fire the world must fall.
Gaea was still in the process of recovery and a last blast of energy could be a major blow to the monsters, leaving the weakened primordial unprotected and vulnerable.
Jason's fingers latched onto Percys wrist and let the power flow from him to the green eyed boy, who in turn did the same. Percy felt a painful twist in his belly as he controlled the power within him, urging it outward in the form of a blistering hutricane. The wind whipped around them like a blades in a blender, grabbing and ripping weaker monsters apart. The rain was sharp dagger as they pelted down with the dangerous mixture of apple sized hail. The ground shook and cracked and the sky did the same, releasing a thundering clash of a lightning storm. The bolts crashed down leaving craters and dust in its wake, and water ravaging the few left behind.
His nerves were burning and his vision was darkening. The pull in his gut was now a vicious aching that wracked his entire body. The sensations were getting to much and the power within him was dying out. He couldn't take it any longer, he'd never exerted himself this much before and the little trip through tarturus didn't help Percys stamina. To his right Jason didn't look much better as his knees wobbled with each jagged strided.
The winds died down as the last of the monsters within Gaea's area were destroyed and Percy could finally feel his limbs rather than the numb burning feeling that previously pulsed through them. He let put struggling gasps has he tried to regain his breath. He fell to his knees and clutched desperately at his throat, forcefully trying to will it to open up. As Percy rose his head and was greeted
with a rather unpleasant sight. The green ciss pools of Gaea's eyes reflected nothing but carnage and distruction. Hatred contorted her would be beautiful face and her joints twisted and cracked in awkward angles that made his skin crawl as her earthy body clawed it's way out of the cracked ground. Her wicked laugh crushed the little remaining spirit percy had. They were too late, Gaea had risen.

In all honesty I'm too lazy to actually edit this chapter. I lack all motivation, but the others will be better lmao. After 1 year of saying "Oh yeah I'm definitely gonna rewrite this" I've finally started.
♡ I lied, I actually did re edit the edit. ♡
