Y/N gave Shinji a big tour around Kyoto, showing him the famous restaurants and tourist spots as well as sacred areas that do not allow people to pass by. Time pass by quickly with them enjoying the local snacks of Kyoto. Though Shinji paid for everything for her kindness, she noticed he did not eat any snack that is sweet.
The enticing aroma of something appetizing cooking on a charcoal grill led Y/N and Shinji to a cozy little eatery. But before they enter the restaurant, Y/N bump into a man who is exiting the entrance.
"Look at where you are going, brat." A muscular man looks down at her after she had bump into him.
"Ah, I'm very sorry." Y/N apologetically bow at the tall man.
"Get out of the way." Another man snorted back at her angrily.
Behind them was four other men just as tall and buff like the two. Y/N can tell they are a group of ronin by the way they dressed. Between two other ronins is a young woman being held firmly out of the eatery. She looks at Y/N with frightening eyes as if she is asking for help.
"What are you doing to that woman?" Y/N asks with concerned when she spots the young woman.
"None of your business." The ronin snapped at her before pushing her to the side.
"It is a crime to be kidnapping people!" Y/N regains her stance and run in front of the ronin to prevent him from leaving with his group and the young woman.
"Kidnap? She is willingly following me." The ronin who seemed to be the leader of the group glares intently down at her. "Do you have a problem, brat?"
"That isn't true! Please help me!" The woman finally screams out for help, but she was slapped hard by one of the ronins who is holding her.
A middle-aged man ran out of the restaurant screaming.
"Let me daughter go! Where are you taking her?!" He was tearing up,
"Let her go!" Y/N tries to reach for the young woman but she was stopped and pushed down onto the cold ground by the leader.
"And what are you going to do if I don't? You insolent brat.".
From a few feet away, Shinji looks calmly, undisturbed by the scene before him. His back leans against a wall as he observes the situation. As much as he wants to engage in what he believes will turns into a brawl soon, he wants to see the ability of this young man, Y/N, whether she is a spy sent from the enemy or not.
As Shinji expected, the scene turns into a fight the moment the leader of the group swings a punch toward Y/N's direction. She quickly dodges the attack but was surprised by her own reflection.
"I'll show you why you should not stick your nose into people's business." The leader signal the men behind him to come forward as he grins evilly. "If you make it out alive that is."
Y/N cussed herself under her breath for bringing danger onto herself once again. She looks around hoping to see the soldiers on duties to come to their rescue. But it was a dark alley with only 2 restaurants open on this street, far from the lively main streets.
"Shinji! Run away and ask for help!" Y/N yells as she dodges another punch from the leader.
Shinji looks at the scenario before him calmly. Despite her helpless circumstances, he finds it silly and ridiculous how she still thinks for his safety.
All he needed was Y/N's few clumsy dodges to come to a conclusion that she is just a normal, weak man. Even a great undercover ninja would have a hard time copying her clumsy moves that naturally. He picked up a rock and threw it at one of the men who is charging at Y/N, grabbing the attention of the group of men to him.
