"How did I know of all the places in Mystic Falls, I'd find you here." I leaned against the cell doorway, a brow quirked at Kol pinning Elena to the wall by her neck.

"I guess I've turned predictable," his grip seemed to tighten.

"It's taking immense power to ensure your not disturbed by her boyfriends, brother or guardian--you do know that, right(?)"

"I'm grateful," he smirked back at me, snapping the weak vampire's neck before fixing his jacket. "So, all the dead wandering about, what do you want with little old me?"

"Your telling me you don't know(?)"

"Well, I was surprised to see you take down Silas for selfish means--then, you even convinced the Bennett witch to drop the veil. Sorry to say I didn't follow you as you went around ticking boxes for the big ritual, but I was rather excited to crush the elder Gilbert's windpipe as soon as the opportunity presented itself."

I couldn't stop myself from scoffing out a laugh, "So, you really don't know what I want to do?"

"I do have ways of getting that information now I'm up and kicking--so to speak," I rolled my eyes when he took a step closer to me.

"That definitely won't work," a smile tugged at my lips.

"Apologies," he chuckled. "Wrong brother, aren't I(?)"

"Enough of that," I shook my head in another laugh. "I'm here to offer you a deal."

"Sorry to say it but I'm dead, darling. There's not really anything you can offer me, especially when I can sense my end of the bargain will most likely stop me from painting these walls in Elena Gilbert's blood." He turned his back, starting his journey to again pick up the unconscious vampire--

"I can bring you back to life," the atoms in the air froze with my sentence. "Don't kill her. They were wrong for what they did to you but I can't have them dead. Leave them--leave all of them, you do that for me and I'll bring you back to life."

"You're lying," he still refused to turn.

"I know things, Kol. And I can do things that you people won't think of because your first thoughts always surround killing off the enemy. Not on my watch, not anymore. If I can help it, if there are other methods, no-one else is dying. Please, Kol. You held a trust in me once. I'm sorry you died and I wasn't there to stop it, but please..." He slowly turned to meet my gaze, "Let me help now..." I reached out my hand under his weary gaze, shocked when his own hand slipped into my grip.

"If you fail me in this..." my lips twitched with his words.

"I'll try my hardest not to," we shook on the agreement...
