Winter vacation

It was the year 2012 when me and my friends went on a trip to Colorado to spend the winter me and my 3 other friends Kyle,Don,Corbin started to pack up and load our car for the long trip ahead. me I was ahead of drinks while Kyle was in charge of food I packed 10 water bottles into the cooler and the other 10 into the car. Put only jerky and meat in the cooler it was a nice day in California when we left it was not to hot as we packed up the last few things we then got in the car and drove out to Colorado it took 2 days and we didn't stop sense we all were the legal age
to drive once we got up to the Rockies mountains we then set up camp it was 12:00Am once we set camp even tho this was not our stop our stop is still ahead as we all fell asleep I started to feel kinda sick in away not home sick more of the sickening feeling of something that was going to go wrong as I dismissed it I fell asleep tho I did have a few nightmares and stayed up half the night I was okay the next morning as the birds sang and my friend don cursing at them for ruining his slumber we all laughed and enjoyed the fresh mountain air then we started to hike I don't want to say where we went. Cause I don't want you to go there yourself as I don't know if it's still there but we all packed up our stuff and went on the hike to our destination the feeling Came back but worse this time I shook it off again as we all were making jokes along the way and teasing each other 7 hours went by like water falling from a tree as we all made camp again corbin started to look around the trees as if he heard something I was making s'mores for everyone Kyle was carving and don was reading a comic soon we heard a huge snap as by my surprise Kyle like an idiot he is brought his fathers handgun he said"what the fuck was that" I look and everyone looked at him and at the black void don said"bro why the fuck did you bring a gun here"as by me and Corbin's stares we just remained silent as my heart skipped a beat and Corbin got closer to the fire we saw a raccoon run out of the forest as everyone else started to laugh and call each other wimps I just stared blankly into the forest still scared I said under my breath"maybe the raccoon was running from something" no one heard of course they just spoke and I gave them they're s'mores I barely ate mine and went to bed early I fell asleep seeing this creature half deer half demon looking thing I woke up screaming as it...did something to I felt sharp pains on my arm as they revealed to be scratch marks I looked at my watch and it was 3:00Am tho I saw my tent was closed and I corbin looking at me with concerning eyes I just stuttered out "B-Bad dream sorry" as Corbin said "it's fine don't worry I'm here"as he gave me eyes of a worried but concerning friend he patted my back and i lates back down I couldn't sleep that night fearing that....Thing would come to get me I hate to say it but I feel like my friend wouldn't do much against a demon but maybe it's my mind playing tricks as when I was younger I had hallucinations about creatures all the time I was use to the scare but for some reason this was deferent I managed to get at least 3 more hours of sleep as I heard the birds singing and I walked out stretching sighing as I sat down and don and Corbin crawled out of they're coffins I started to make breakfast for everyone as I heard them talk behind me waiting patiently I cooked bacon and spam for them I know healthy right anyway they ate quickly as I just watched and barely ate anything as I sill Couldn't shake off last night as Corbin some how felt that I wasn't feeling to hot he put his arm over my shoulder and pulled me closer as I felt the warmth aerating from him I felt more closer to earth than on the clouds I started to eat a little more than after breakfast we were 2 more miles from our cabin that we rented as we packed I noticed that my arm had blood stained on my clothes I rolled it up and noticed nothing there and I rolled it back down and noticed the blood wasn't there I started to feel like I was in a dream. And for a second I say the thing infront of me and no one was near me actually everyone gone the forest grew into a mineshaft as I started to run I heard screams from my friends behind me and a. Ungodly roar behind me to as I ran quicker ran into a dead end as I fell down I woke up in Corbin's shoulder and I looked around and saw that Corbin was still eating while everyone one else was packing up and was even packing me and Corbin's stuff up as don said "come on slow pokes we are waisting day light" I said"yeah okay and thanks guys"they all said "no thank you for cooking" Corbin took off his arm off from behind my neck I stood up and put on my backpack and in a few minutes so did corbin as we all started to travel to the cabin we notice the tree get thicker and a fog slowly grows around we spent 3 hours on finding the cabin once we did find it we went inside and noticed scratched on the floor leading to the other door leading outside as picture frames and broken wood Littered the floor. Don said"Well fuck me" I looked surprised and corbin started to look around and Kyle said"well who ever was here left in a hurry"he said as there was a 2 backpacks on the couch and jackets on the coat hanger I shook everything off and said"he guys maybe we shouldn't stay like maybe we should head back home"as everyone stopped and looked at corbin said"no worry it's going to be fine" and don said"yeah maybe there was a pregnant chick that needed go" and Kyle said"yeah don't worry"I just sighed and went to one of the 3 bedrooms and put my stuff on the floor and close the blinds and close the door I changed into deferent clothing I put on a beanie and went outside into the lounge and sat down on the couch staring at the huge cabin but I sighed and layed down and slowly fell asleep as I woke up it was 3:00Am corbin was asleep on the floor to the right of me as I heard the heaviness of the snow hitting the house outside I was cold and stood up going to the kitchen as I started to make myself hot coco I couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched and the blizzard grew more hectic outside I was down with the coco and walked back over to the couch I turned on the lamp behind me and grabbed a book reading and drinking hot coco as I started to hear a tap from one of the windows in the corner of the room of course it was dark and I couldn't see what's taping the glass but I was to scared as I put down my coco I slowly went to where corbin was laying down and woke him up he woke and and looked at me with questions facial impressions as I said before he said anything"look there's something over there in that corner and and I'm to afraid of checking it out can you maybe....check it out for me please?"as he sighed and nodded he went over to the window with a. Lit candle he walked closer and the tapping grew faster my heart quicken as he grew near the window as he went face to face with it he gasped and so did I and he said sarcastically "It's a branch!" As I looked at him with angry eyes is said "fuck you....but that was good"I say laughing but the didn't last long as I heard a bang from the door and a howl Luke no other it was like a...a....monster I flew to the other side of the room as fast as lighting and the coffee cup broke from my leg smacking it. As I stared at the door and so did corbin a dead rabbit fled through the window as don and Kyle flew down the stares saying"what the fuck arebuou two doing down here" we say glowing red eyes from the window as Kyle went to get his handgun the creature made a high pitch screech making everyone plug there ears and stop as I started to grab a kitchen knife and Kyle ran to get the gun I started to shake uncontrollably as we heard Kyle run down the stares managing to say"W-WHO EVER IS THERE...W-WE HAVE A GUN"As we all just stood there frozen minutes felt like hours and seconds like minutes I said"M-Maybe it's gone?" As don looked outside the window and as he did hands flew out and pulled him into the black nothingness as Kyle screamed and shot outside and we heard don scream and a huge snap that echoed through my ears as I started to cry and I stared at the window and I snapped out of it and said"G-Guys we need to board up the place"and Kyle said"No we can't just leave don out there to die"corbin then said"We all heard the fucking snap man he's...he's..."kyle interrupted"Don't you dare fucking say it he's still out there alive as he went towards the door but what stopped him from going outside was the roar of the beast and Kyle ran back to the stares and started to aim at the door saying"Okay...maybe we need to survive the night and we can search and find him right?"I nod and me and Corbin walked to the stares as the power cut out and we heard pounding and scratching at the door we was in kyles room as we barricaded the door and the window a stared at the door wondering if we were going to survive as I tried to fight sleep slowly closing my eyes realizing that I'm going to lose I went into the closet and hid myself in all the old flannels and sweaters as I fell asleep dreaming about the summer of when me and my friends were kids playing around the nice cool but hit summer air hitting me Than soon water balloons and Than I woke up to the cold winter brisk hitting my face as I opened the closet door Kyle was still awake aiming towards the door and corbin was asleep on the floor as I stood up walking towards the window looking throw the cracks of the wood boards and saw nothing but white as I walked towards Kyle saying"hey there I'm going downstairs okay" I say smiling Kyle nodded and continued to aim at the door I felt scared but I was hungry so I cleaned the way of the door and walked out Feeling tired I saw the door was kicked open and there was snow all over the main lobby I slowly walked downstairs as I went towards my room so I can get my boots as soon as I did I saw blood writings on my wall and symbols as I just stood they're staring but the cold talked me out of standing there as I went to my boots and suitcase I put on warmer clothes and my boots as I went to the kitchen crabbing a pack of jerky and water as I just sat down on the stairs as i just stared at the door eating quickly and once I was done I slowly walked towards the door and....
