"I get that we have to practice emergency rescues but.." Izuku trailed off, eyes slowly digesting the sight before him. "I.. Isn't this a little too much?.."

Shouji nodded, eye widened with his multiple arms braced at his sides.

Aizawa had assigned "different" kind of rescue training. It was called "calamity emergency".

Heroes don't always have to battle villains- they also conduct rescues from natural disasters that occur throughout the city, the most common one was landslides and collapsed buildings with dangerous obstacles inside them.

So Aizawa had someone to create a big obstacle they had to maneuver over in an inclosure next to the Training Camp the Wild Wild Pussycats worked. He also managed to get Present Mic the person they had to rescue- who was sitting on top of the unstable obstacle.

It was.. Big... Per say. Imagine Todoroki's ice glacier- towering among you and about eighty feet high- but instead of it made out of frosty ice, it consisted of unstable rubble, mud, boulders complete with jagged rocks that could probably stab through your heart no problem.

A splatter of cold mud plopped down on Izuku's face, making him flinch and instinctively wipe it away.

Decoy buildings and roads circled both him and Shouji- acting as a fake city where the supposed civilians have already fled. The obstacle towered over everything, casting a shadow over at least half the city and leaving so much darkness at it's wake that Tokoyami might've liked this place if he wasn't getting tested in the "Tsunami" section of the training grounds with Tsuyu.

"Midoriya," Shouji nudged him with his third arm on the right, catching the attention of the boy muttering up a hurricane.

"Yes Shouji?" Izuku turned to him, a determined smile on his face- the familiar shine in his eyes made Mezo's heart thump in his chest. 'He's always so brave, even under dire circumstances.' He had always liked those qualities of Izuku.

He was down to earth, always oblivious of how much influence and impact he has on the class- on him.

"Do you have a plan?" Shouji asked, the mask hiding the blush on his cheeks. He had to focus on the lesson now. He hates putting the burden on someone else but.. He was stumped (and intimidated by the obstacle) to do something. Midoriya wobbly smiled, nodding his head.

"Yeah! But.." Izuku trailed off, eyeing Shouji as if he were measuring him up and down. Mezo subconsciously felt self-conscious. "I'll have to carry you."
Shouji blanched.

"Midoriya, I hope you're aware I'm at least a solid 200 pounds, and almost twice as big as you." Shouji was exasperated, hyperaware of the time chipping away. "You can't possibly-"

"You won't know unless you don't try!"

"Midoriya- wait-"

Shouji's eyes widen, dodging a second to late before the other boy (using a now controlled 30% of One For All) wrapped his arms around Shouji's waist, crouching down, and literally propelling them both into the air.

Mezo swears he left his stomach where he was standing.

Wind whistled sharply in his "ears", the two muscles formed at the tip of both his right and left middle arms- before they momentarily stopped in midair. The disturbing feeling of weightlessness as if they were affected by Uraraka's quirk made his stomach churn- the sight of the ground not touching his two feet almost made him loose the breakfast he had.

Izuku, though, was having the time of his life.

He landed on a jutted out piece of cliff, One For All crackling in his veins as power pulsed through his system. He grinned, celebrating the fact he hadn't broken a bone, his foot sinking into a malleable puddle of mud instead. He used his strength to carry a 200 pound Shouji- admittedly struggling. But his muscles weren't just there for display, after all.
