Victor sat next to me as we enjoyed our food. His large muscles underneath his pelt tensed up every so often when he'd get aggressive with his meal. His jaw line was unmistakably one of a pitbull's. He was much larger than others of his kind and was very strong. He had been beaten and left for dead when I found him. I nursed him to health and named him as my own. Now we spent every second together. I watched the new initiates walking out reading what they where assigned to. When I had finished my test I was told I would join Dauntless. I was ruthless and violent showing no mercy when it came to others. I was known for my bluntness as well as one of the best when it came to lying. The thing was I now was a run away. I ran from the Dauntless not in fear but in other reasons. I wasn't willing to devote my life to what others wanted. I'm not going to let some Egotistical bitch run my life all because she had sex with all the right people to get to the top. I was different. Not Divergent different. But different. Once I ran from Dauntless word spread of the "Run away Soldier". I couldn't understand how they could call me that. I wasn't a Soldier I was a Rebel. I was part of The Rebellion. Either way Victor and I weren't scared the slightest. We were ready for whatever came to us. I returned speaking of the Dauntless capturing me and torturing me. To
I spoke of them wanting information of which I didn't give. They fell for this so I was returned to my ranking and now was an instructor. This year they had a normal group. As usual Four, Eric and I where the instructors. The other two would be hard the the initiates and wash away their minds and make them the Mindless Wonders as my kind would call it. I was never there when they did though I was off spreading news to the Rebellion. I sighed and looked over Four and Eric whom where watching the Initiates as well. Victor looked up to me as I finished my apple then handed it to Victor whom swallowed it whole then returned to his meaty meal. Four walked up and nudged my shoulder. "What do you think?" he asked. I looked back out at the Initiates. "Weak. Smaller than the others. Won't last long." I spat. Victor sneezed and shook his head. Four patted his head and nodded. "I agree. Can't wait to crush them." Eric said walking up. I crossed my legs boredly and looked away. "No need to get yourself all worked up.  They may not even be able to survive long enough for you. " I said as Victor looked up at us. "Yeah well I'm still going to have my fun. " Eric said darkly. I rolled my eyes and rubbed Victors head lovingly and stood up. "They will be arriving tomorrow. We should prepare. I don't feel like having a repeat of my past." I said looking away. Four squeezed my shoulder. "We won't let the Divergents get any of them. Not after what happened to you. " I nodded and walked off with Victor close behind. Once we where out of ear shot I looked to him. "Fools aren't they. Believe in the stupidest of things. " I hissed. Victor trotted beside me listening. "I hope Four knows he's not fooling me. He's a Divergent. He thinks he can win. Depressing isn't it." Victor snorted and slowed slightly.  "Won't need to worry too much. I'll have the Rebellion here soon. For now. We wait. "
