Walking through the woods one day
I stumbled upon a tree
This tree was empty inside
It reminded me
Of me
Through the dark and twisted woods
Along the rugged path
I pricked myself with a thorn
It kinda made me laugh
See life is such a silly game
Full of hurt and pain
Why do people betray us
Is there something that they gain
Yes, no one seems to really care
Unless your pretty or you're dead
So hang your head in sorrow as
You hang on by a thread
Life, oh life
You silly fool
You are not a game to win
You will fall and sin
But keep your heart open and love
Will always find it's way in
Stumbling through the woods that day
I met a stranger, kind
He took my by the hand and said
May I call you mine
My heart began to beat again
My blood began to rush
My lungs began the breathe again
This wasn't some silly crush
See love, oh love
It heals the heart
And the mind will follow through
So each step along the way he said
I'll be here for you
So lift your head
And dry your tears
I'll fight away your pain
And of everything along the way
one thing will remain
My love for you is deeper than the blue
Higher than the sun
And bigger than the sky
If you let me, my love
You shall be forever mine.
