It is so frustrating, I can barely make ends meet as it is, and then some douche decides to scratch my car.

A giant scrape is visible on the left side of my car, I am standing outside Target about to throw a tantrum, but decide to keep my cool until I get home.

This is ridiculous, I have a job interview tomorrow and my car looks like I sleep on the streets three times a week.

I sigh and get in my car, on the drive home I call Taylor Moore, my best friend since college. Even though we didn't study the same thing, it was closely related; she is a nurse and I am a personal trainer.

I take my phone out of my purse, dial her number and put it on speaker.

It rings a few times before she picks up, "Hey, what's up Alex?"

I grin, I miss her a lot. She has a lot of night shifts at the moment, and I am always working. I have four different jobs and if I am not working, I am either sleeping or training.

"Hey Tay, someone scratched my car and I can't afford to get it fixed, so now my car looks like an even bigger pile of shit."

"That sucks, hopefully tomorrow goes..." She yawns before continuing, "Well. Sorry A, I am really tired."

"That's okay, you better go to, FUCKING ASSHOLE WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!" I yell at the car who raced out of a street in front of my car. I slam the brakes in order to stop myself from crashing, my phone, which was laying next to me, flies down in front of the passenger seat.

"ALEX, are you okay?" I hear Taylor ask sounding concerned.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. It's just my phone that is out of reach, wait a moment." I reach for my phone, but when I hear a car honking I quickly sit back up and turn the steering wheel to the right, to prevent myself from going on the other lane.

"Tay, I can't reach my phone, so just say it when you can't hear me." I say a little louder than I'd normally would.

"Yeah sure. Hey, I was thinking. My roommate is moving out the day after tomorrow, and I can't pay my rent on my own. And your rent is ridiculously high, why not move in with me? We'll get to see each other a little more often."

I think about it for a moment, it'd be perfect. If I can reduce the amount of rent I pay each month, that would help me to save up to get my car fixed.

"That sounds amazing! I can't wait." I reply enthusiastically.

"Cool, I'm really tired, so I'm going to take a long nap. We'll text about the details, bye."

"No problem, sweet dreams."

"Thanks."

* * *

"Thank you for coming, we'll let you know."

I turn around once again to give the interviewer a hand.

"Thank you for having me, I look forward to hearing from you." I smile my sweetest smile, knowing they aren't going to hire me.

"That's great, have a nice day."

"You too." I turn around and walk out of the office. The clinic isn't exactly what I imagined myself working at, but I'd pay a lot better than four different jobs. I am disappointed, but maybe something better will come along.

I step outside of the building and breath in the fresh air, the trees along the street are slowly losing their flowers to turn from white to a deep shade of green for the next couple of months.

I look around and see everyone looking hurried, no-one appreciates the little amount of nature that's left in the city.

I breathe in deeply again and close my eyes, trying to filter out the loud noises from the cars passing by with a woosh. I feel my phone vibrating inside my pocket, and open my eyes to look at who's calling me.

"Taylor, what's up?"

"How did your interview go?" She asks, sounding excited about something.

"It went bad," I sigh, "No wait, scratch that. It went horrible, disastrous, catastrophic, I think you get the point."

"I'm so glad to hear that!" She squeals.

I pinch my eyebrows together in confusion, "Why would you be happy about that? It is a decent job, it would really help me."

"Well, since you're moving in with me, which by the way, we can do tomorrow since my roommate left today, I thought it would be easier for you to have a job close to house. So I walked past the gym and I saw they were looking for a personal trainer!"

I squeal in excitement, "Really?"

"Yeah! And I have a friend who knows the owner, so he could help you get the job."

I smile widely, "I am going home right now to pack up my stuff and I'll see you tomorrow!"
