You changed me...in the best way possible.

Yuu: the cause of my sleepless night's

"Hey Guren, why do bees make hunny" yuu asked as he held on to Gurens hand and skipped.
"I don't know yuu" Guren groaned.
"Guren why do penguins slide on there stomach" yuu asked as his face turned into a concentration face.
"To get around faster?" Guren suggested, at this yuu said a simple "oh" and carried on skipping.
During the journey yuu asked a total of 45 questions to which Guren didn't know the answer to a single one!
"Guren, will I have to stay at after school club while you work late again" yuu asked looking quite sad at the older man.
Guren had taken Yuu in 2 weeks ago and he had to admit he had become quite fond of the small child.
Yuu was only 6 so it was understandable that he was beginning to form a relationship with the man, he looked up to Guren and thought of his as his saviour. And if he could he would spend every second of the day with Guren but unfortunately he had school and Guren had work.
"No I will pick you up straight away tonight" Guren said as he ruffled the kids hair.
"Yayyyy!" At this Yuu began dancing around Guren doing a small 'victory' dance.

"What are they like" Guren was on the phone to possible parents willing to adopt Yuu
"There seem nice enough they have another child and-" the woman on the phone was cut off as Yuu came running into Gurens study. "Guren I drew this for you!" Yuu excitedly shouted; not even realising he was shouting.
"Look it's you" he pointed at the blog located on the paper.
"I will call you back later" at that Guren hung up the phone and pick up yuu.
"That's great, did you draw it for me?" He questioned and at this Yuu hummed nodding proudly as he did so.
"Let's go hang it up then" Guren picked up yuu and carried him and his picture to the wall near the kitchen as he pinned the picture on his 'reminder' board.

"Guren are you awake?" It was 2:00am and Yuu had a nightmare.
"What" Guren groaned out, rolling over to face Yuu.
"I couldn't sleep" yuu whined.
"Tch brat" with that Guren threw the blanket on yuu, and shortly after Yuu fell asleep, snoring slightly.

It felt weird sleeping next to someone, someone other than Mahiru. Her death had caused him to practically shut himself down, letting no one get past the barrier he had made for himself.
Except one person, a child had walked into his life so innocently, not knowing how much he's been changing Guren. Slowly but surely Gurens barriers are being broken down, and it scared him.
