I lugged myself into school tired as ever. I stayed up last night writing and doodling in my notebook. I write everything in there, It's the only person I can really tell everything about my life. Hi, my name is Amelia Coleman, the most anti-social person at Swellview Junior High. The only good part about school, is the fact I don't get bullied because nobody even knows I exist. The only exciting part of my life is my job as a super villain sidekick. It kind of sucks having to hide a secret when there is nobody to tell to begin with. I would love to stand here and chit chat all day but I have class to attend to.

"RIIING!" The school bell rings and the only thing you can hear is faint whispering and feet shuffling. I sit down at my desk and slouch in my chair wishing my life weren't so boring. I barely see my mom or dad because they're always working. They run a company called "Retro Realtors." In case you couldn't guess, they're realtors. So I learned to take care of myself.

Plus, because I have no friends to hang out with I don't get out much. So all I do is sit in my room and doodle in my notebook, read, or study for school. I picked up my pencil and stared at it.

At least this pencil get's more attention than me. It's not ignored 24/7, like me.

Our teacher Miss Shapen was talking about the Civil War. "Who was the president of the confederate states of America?" She asked the class and looked around waiting for somebody to raise their hand. Of course nobody did, so I brought myself to throw my arm up in the air.

"Yes, A-- you with the blonde hair." She says pointing at me. Yup, that's how little people know me. My own teacher can't remember my name. "Jefferson Davis." I answered. "Correct." She tells me and continues talking to the class. But I zone out.

"RIIING!" The school bell rings again, and I shove my book in my bag and head to the cafeteria. I got to the end of the lunch line and grabbed a tray. I walked as the lady put blobs of disgusting food on my tray. I sat down at the empty table and poked the gross jello like substance with my fork. Then the cafeteria gets loud. I look up to see Henry walk in holding hands with Bianca.

You may be wondering, Henry is my crush. He has been since the second grade. But I never got the chance to make a first impression because of my clumsiness and my lack of popularity. He is the most popular guy in the school. We are complete opposites. He has this aura that follows him everywhere he goes, he has tons of friends and a girlfriend. Unfortunately.

The bell rings once more and I dump off every last piece of that stuff the lunch lady calls food and put the tray on top of the trash can. I swing my bag over my shoulder and walk to my locker. I swap out books for the rest of my day and I see a hand on the open part of my locker but I had assumed it was my locker neighbor about to unlock their locker.

I finished getting my stuff and me being the clumsy girl I am, I completely forgot about the hand there and just assumed they removed it. But not knowing it was still there, I slammed my locker shut.

"Ow my hand!" A soft voice shouts from behind me. I turn around to reveal a boy a few inches taller than me, dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, a plaid shirt, and vans. It's Henry Hart! "Oh I'm so sorry I forgot your hand was there!" I announce. He shakes his hand and then shoves both of his hands into his pockets. "It's okay." He adds, and then his smile turns into confusion. "Are you new here, I don't think I've seen you before?" He asks me.

I sigh in annoyance. "Sorry, should I not have asked that?" Henry asks. "No it's fine but we have gone to the same school since--" I look at my shoes so he can't see my face. "Second grade." I say through gritted teeth. Then I look back up. "Oh, how have I never seen  you around before?! The name is--" Before he could finish I cut him off. "Henry. Henry Hart, the most popular guy in the school." I laugh.

He just smiles. "That's kinda creepy," I say on accident. I cover my mouth with both hands not meaning to say that. When I get control of my voice I remove my hands and say, "Sorry that came out wrong."

"It's fine! You're not the first to say something like that..." He looks down and I swear I see him blush. "So why'd you come over here?" I ask as I adjust the backpack strap on the shoulder. "I wanted to see if maybe, you'd like to hang out sometime?" He asks and the farther he goes in his sentence, the higher the pitch of his voice was, squinting and pressing his lips together in a really awkward way. I let him suffer for a minute before finally saying,

"Sure, why not!" I laugh. He smiles and waves with three fingers, then he shoves his hands in his pockets and walks away. The bell rings and I snap back into reality. "Shoot! I gotta get to class!" I shout to myself and run down the hallway to room 104, the math room. This is the one class I have with Henry.

I run into the class and sit down. I throw my backpack over my chair and pull out my math book. I doodle on the sides when I hear somebody's phone ring. A very weird ringtone, too. It just goes, BEEP BEEP  BEEP. Over and over again. Henry stands up and the teacher doesn't notice because he is facing the board writing something. He grabs his bag and rushes out of the classroom.

There is something about him that is attractive but at the same time is makes me suspicious. I don't know why. But the one thing that caught my attention is that Henry and I have the same phone and that ringtone is not a choice on my phone. Weird.
