Ash made her way down the hall, a blanket wrapped around her shoulders, and over her head. She gripped onto the blanket tightly as she slowly put one foot after the other, struggling to walk.
"Lance..." she whispered, the cold nipping at her cheeks and body. She gripped the blanket tighter.
"Shiro?" She called out helpless again.
"Pidge..."
"Hunk..."
"Koran..."
"A-Allura... anyone.. p-please, help," She croaked. She felt herself falling, and in a lame attempt to stop herself, she reached out her arm. She came into contact with the hard floor, her thud echoing down the hallway loudly.
Loudly enough that it woke the other Paladins. The opening of doors filled her head, and the worried cries of the other crew-members were heard, signifying they had noticed Ash's shivering figure, huddling on the floor.
Lance rushed over to her, and cradled her shoulders. She reached a dangerously pale hand towards the collar of his shirt. Lance gazed at her skin worriedly. Ash was already fairly pale as it was, but her skin was almost pure white.
Her fingers weakly enclosed around his collar, pulling his face closer.
"C-c-cold... h-help," she whispered, barely audible. Her hand began falling away from him, her head going limp. He caught her hand carefully, but his eyes turned wide with the contact. Her hands were frigid. He lightly pressed her hand to his chest as he gazed around, fear growing in his eyes.
Allura and Koran shared a knowing glance. Allura approached Lance, and held out her arms. Reluctantly, he handed Ash over to her. Allura stood up and hastily made her way over to the hospital wing, allowing Koran inside but then shutting everyone else out.

It had been about twenty minutes since Allura had brought Ash inside, and the crew had stayed awake in anticipation.
Lance was a pacing mess, muttering to himself the entire time. He eventually felt a pair of hands come to rest on his shoulders, they spun Lance around to face his captor.
"Lance, calm down," Shiro stated, a small smirk on his face.
"I can't! And how are you not freaking out?" He cried out frustratedly. Shiro's gaze fell for a split second, before returning it to meet Lance's.
"Now while I've not spoken to her much, or at all for the last few years, I've watched my sister grow up to be one of the strongest people I know. She'll make it through," he ended in a whisper. The three other paladins stared at him with a shocked expression, none of them knew Shiro was Ash's brother.
Lance had eventually stopped pacing, and sat on one of the benches that was outside the room. He dug his teeth into his knuckles nervously.

"It'll be a few days before she can leave that room, but she'll be fine," Koran stated, stepping out to meet with the other paladins. His only response was a small nod from the four paladin's.
"Visitors are welcomed," he finished before walking away, Allura trailing behind him. Pidge and Hunk wasted no time before barging into the room, only to have their excitement turn to worry.
The room was dark, with maroon walls. A fireplace sat on the left wall, in the corner, a bed directly across from it.
In the corner opposite of the bed, sat a hospital cot. The short framed girl they'd grown close to lay in it, strapped down, hooked up to needles that stuck out of her arms, and a breathing mask over her face.
"We'll leave you two alone with her," Hunk whispered, leading Pidge out of the room. Shiro and Lance approached Ash, their gaze studying her pained face carefully.
Shiro took another step forward and took ahold of Ash's hand, tracing soft circles on the back of it with his flesh one.
Lance came up to stand next to Shiro, feeling somewhat awkward now knowing he was her brother. Lance cleared his throat and stood up a little straighter.
"You should go get some more rest," Shiro sighed, pulling up a chair. "I'll stay with her."
Lance opened his mouth to argue, but thought against it as he left the room silently, worries filling his thoughts.

Over the past few days, the team had continued to grow close with Lotor. Rather, Allura did. The two had been working on a ship that was direly needed to retrieve quintessence to stop the war, so the paladins have had a few days to themselves.
Lance was currently laying on the couch that also sat in front of the fireplace in her healing room. Ash was sleeping soundly between his legs, holding onto his thigh as if it was the only thing keeping her alive.
Lance had found himself playing with Ash's hair, finding it distressing and relaxing. Today was the last day for visits, for everyone was demanded by Allura and Koran that after the fifth day of her healing, she be left alone. They hadn't said how many days the "process" would be.
Lance felt Ash stir, as he detangled his fingers from her hair and rested himself on his elbows.
"Morning sleepy beauty," he whispered, smiling down at her. She leaned her head back to get a view of Lance's face, and rolled herself over so her hands rested on his lower abdomen, her chin on top of them.
"Sleep okay?" He questioned, tilting his head to the side slightly. Ash simply nodded, not being allowed to speak until her healing process was done. Koran and Allura still hadn't released the reasons why she was so cold that night.
"For your last day, I was thinking we could go to the space mall?" He asked with an innocent smile. Ash couldn't help but return the smile at the way his eyes lit up.
She nodded eagerly and sat up, allowing Lance to sit up as well. But her gaze suddenly fell, earning a concerned glance from Lance.
"What's wrong?" He asked, leaning closer slightly. Ash brought her hands up and rubbed her arms silently, signally she was scared if she suddenly got cold like she did the other night.
"If you get cold, I will grab every blanket near me and wrap it around you, and never let you go," he whispered. Ash smiled up at him, his words touching her heart.
