Death and destruction thickened the air until it was black, until you couldn't see your hand in front of you, until you couldn't see the enemy ahead of you. The gods were fighting a brutal war of fear and death. Too many were being killed in the massacre; father against son, mother against daughter, no one was safe, it was every one for themselves. The gods were right on extinction in this pointless war, but one knew it was time to stop. He fought for justice and persuaded the gods to stop fighting. He also divided the land into two sections - the good and the bad, so they may not come by and provoke another pointless blood bath. He made a border for each land but left a section in the middle so the sides may not see each other. Each civillian was too scared to pass their own border in fear of crossing paths with the other side. Once all was settled, each god was free to live their life without fear of a war.

The bad side, was know as the dark side after some time. They weren't happy with their side and each wanted more than they could see before them. It bacame a side of murder and hate, blood and jealousy. They were evil after all, and none of them could control their vile behaviour. It had become a natural thing for them. Soon, their side had become overwhelmed with darkness so thick that it had begun to cloud their minds. All they could think of was destructive and hideous actions to do that would destroy anothers life. To them, the border was just a way to keep the enemy in. Soon, the people of the Dark side became to afraid to emerge from the city walls and the border, became just a fairytale.

One small boy who possesed the mind of a corrupt one, was curious as to what was outside the walls, the people warned him not to go and expose himself, but he still went. He wandered into the middle and stood there for a while, observing his surroundings. The soil was rich and moist as no one had touched it for years. The barren land ran for miles yet there was nothing else to see. No life had settled inbetween the two worlds.

'There is nothing to see here.' He thought for a while, until he saw it. He saw her. He spotted something beautiful, it was a girl with the eyes of a cat and green like emeralds with long, light, silkily purple hair cascading down her back reaching just above the curve on her back, a flower crown embedded in her hair as if it grew there and a face as soft and pure as a cloud itself.

He soon became self conscious of his grey, rocky, molten body with greasy, short, black hair and eyes like a burning fire. Each crack running down his body burned bright with the lava of his anger. He was furious that he did not look good enough for her, though she still spotted him through the gates and her plump pink lips formed into a heart warming grin. It did not warm his hear, as he was convinced he didnt have one, but for moment, he forget who he was and felt determined to impress her.
"Um... Hello." He shyly whispered in a small but deep voice.
"Young man, why must you fret?!" She laughed, it was like hearing an angel sing to him. Her voice was pure and light. "I'm Diosa." She smiled and held out her hand to shake.
"I don't want to hurt you with my body... I'm Itami." He stated, looking at the ground while nervously shifting from one foot to the other.

Even from far away, each city could begin to feel a new hope sprouting from the soil. They knew a new love was born for them. Itami and Diosa spent hours together, laughing, crying and joking. They would talk about anything and everything. They became friends quickly, they became more quicker.

They sat under the tree Diora planted the day they met some ten years ago. Itami stroked Diora's soft face with his hands that had been softened by her touch. She was proud of how she changed him.
"Diora, you're so beautiful. Why would you want to be with one from the darkness" He whispered to her. She laughed and looked at him.
"You may not think it but under the rock, I can tell you're beautiful too and that is why I choose to be with you." He sighed, he doubted that sentence. He may have found the ability to feel something, but he still believed he was pure evil and that held him back from being free of the black abyss he called home.

"I love you Diora." He meant it, but he knew something was wrong as soon as he spoke it aloud.
"I love you too Itami." She smiled. Itami could feel an unusual sensation in his chest as if he could breath fresh air for once. His molten back softened into soil as a single red rose sprouted from his back. She smiled at how he was changing for him once again. She plucked the red rose from his back and re planted it under the tree, she made many more grow among them.

"To our love." She whispered. "Forever and eternal." Itami knew there was something behind her words. The evil in him stirred and he knew, there was beggining to be some evil in her too.
