Work

I just started at my new place of work recently. I'm a dishwasher and busboy; it's a fairly simple job. However, there's always embarrassing moments that make you want to cry, (not really I'm just being dramatic).

So this was either my second or third day there and, if you have ever been a dishwasher, then you know about the heavy crates and steaming hot water. Welp, I was hurrying up since I didn't have a ride home but my friend (orange girl) works there too and said her mom could give me a ride home.

Washing cups, you put them upside down on a crate and put another crate on top of it, then put it in this washing machine thing twice. Well my friend didn't know how to put the crate on top of it (she put it upside down, which made the scolding hot water pool up at the top) since she was helping me. (I was supposed to leave an hour earlier then when I actually did, and you can't leave until all of the dishes were cleaned).

So when the thing finished I picked up the top crate and flipped it over, as you do, and was slashed head to toe in hot af water. I played it cool like, oh yeah that's normal haha, but I actually wanted to start crying. The kitchen and the washing room [?] {idk what to call it} is connected and one of the chiefs ran over.

He jokingly said "Oh come on really?" But then asked if I was okay. I said yes while my "friend" was laughing her butt off in the corner. So I walked out afterwards to clock out and one of the waitresses asked if I was okay. "Oh yeah I'm cool, what's up with you?"

It's actually extremely cool working there. All , but one you know who she is hahah , of the people who work there are some of the coolest people I've ever met, they don't care if I drop a cup (they're plastic) and when I make other mistakes. Yep
