I woke up to the sound of my sister' alarm. I woke my sister up because she have classes. We live separately from our parents because our house is located far from our school. It's going to be the first day of college and I have no idea what to wear. I just grabbed some shirt and pants from my closet and put on some sneakers. Stared at the mirror and I noticed I might have lost some weight. I tied my brown straight hair into a ponytail. Maybe I should't have done that, I just had  my hair rebonded a few weeks ago. It doesn't really matter, I was just forced by my friends to have my hair treated anyway. It used to be wavy, now it is straight.

I look at the time and it's already 8:30, my class starts at 9:00 and I'm still in my dorm. I don't have time for breakfast so I started running. Imagine you have to cross three building and climb up 5 floors because all the elevators are occupied, and being late is not a good idea on the first day of class. When I finally got there my room was under renovation. I texted my friends and asked them where they are and told them I didn't know that it was moved to another building. Waiting for a reply when my phone died. How could these things happen, this is such a disaster.

"Wait!" I shouted "please hold the elevator"
Luckily, the guy saw me and opened the door. Both of us will be going to the ground floor when another unfortunate event happened to me my ballpen fell off and as I was about to pick it up the door started closing.
"You're still a clutzies" the guy said as the door closes.

I ended up getting to the basement and going up for another floor again. I'm too hopeless to get to my first class so I decided to go back to my dorm and charge my phone. Then it hits me, did he say clutzies or it's my imagination playing with me? Only Alex calls me clutzies. Maybe I'm imagining things. Get it out of my head. I don't want to be reminded of him anymore I want to move on. It's just a nonsense little crush. You know how we measure our crushes when we were young, maybe I would say it's just a pinch now. It will fade away someday.

I'm in my dorm room, waiting for my phone to charge when it rang. It's my bestfriend Bea, she's the pretty one. We've been BFFs since grade 1.
"Where on Earth are you Jame?" She shouted through the phone
I have to pull my phone away because she's too loud.
"In my dorm, I didn't know that our classroom is under renovation and I don't know where to go. My phone died and here I am." I explained
"Classes are suspended anyway."
"Suspended why?"
"Sudden faculty meeting I think" she said "so see you in a bit? At the diner? 8pm?"
"Sure I replied"

I went home to my dorm when my sister is having her friends over to do their group work. I signaled her to come out of the dorm room.

"Why didn't you warn me that your friends are coming over?" I asked
"It won't take long, I promise. It's just a sudden group activity and we got nowhere to go. So..."

What can I do? They're already there, as if I'm going to kick them out. I don't want to be rude. I'm just so tired. I decided to walk towards the nearest cafe.

The line is too long, I'm going to wait ten minutes in line to pick up a drink then finish it in less than five. Finally, it's my turn, instead of going for the regular iced coffee that I usually order, might as well drink something that's gonna be worth the ten minutes I've wasted. I ordered a chocolate chip cream frappe, and a chocolate glazed donuts. I love chocolates.
I looked for a seat to wait for my name to be called.
"Chocolate chip cream and chocolate glazed donut for Jane"
I walked towards this barista. He has green eyes and black hair. He wears this polo shirt and a green apron.
"Chocolates huh?" The barista said "rough day?" He seemed to sure.
"Not really. Can't you have chocolates on a fun day?" I asked
"Of course you can" he said while smirking

Too nosy for a barista, but I think I've heard his voice before. I just don't know where.

I went to Chum's diner to meet up with Bea. I must've been too early it's only 7:30. I sat on a booth and texted Bea.
"Hey, I'm already here at the diner."
"Oops! I forgooooot to tell you I have to cancel. Mom called me to be home early because we have a sudden visitor. It's a family friend from France. Remember Shawn? " She replied.
"It's okay. Just call me later." I texted

"Strawberry milk shake for you" someone said
I look up to see who gave me the drink. It was the barista.
"Oh it's you" I responded "no thanks I'm still full"
"Okay then I'll just throw this" he said holding the milk shake again.
"No, don't" I protested "don't put it to waste."
"But you said you didn't like it." He responded "I'm not drinking this so"
"Okay! Okay! I'll drink it" I grabbed it from his hands and sipped it. I sipped it too quickly. My head starts aching, brain freeze.

"In a rush?" He asked
"I'm about to go. My friend can't make it." I really have no more intentions of staying since she's not coming. "Thanks for the shake."
"Welcome"
I left still carrying the milkshake in my hand.

Ring ring ring

My phones ringing. It's Bea.
"Ahhhhhhhhh" she screamed
"What?" I said "Calm down"
"Remember I told you Shawn came over."
"Yeah, why?"
"He happened to know where Alex is"
"What?"
"He said Alex is here in Southbridge"

I sighed, I wasn't unlucky afterall.
