I admired the ring as I got into Kyle's car.

"Stop staring at that damn ring and get out ta the car babe." Kyle said. I looked up and noticed that we were already at school.

"oh." I mumbled quickly and stood up. Kyle closed the car door, taking my hand in his soon after. I'm glad we have all classes together. Kyle and I always arrive early, so we sit in the cafeteria and await for our friends. I walked in and sat at the furthest table from the door. This is the table Kyle and I still with our friends at. We sat beside each other, our fingers entwined as we waited for Kelsi, Brandi, Skylar, and Rain. I don't really like Skylar...he has this like, infatuation with me. And he can't look at Kyle without jealousy attacking his features. It's so unbelievably clear. He scrunches up his face, his eyes go dark, he clenches his fists. It's ridiculous. It's been this way for nearly two years. I'm surprised he hasn't blown up yet. He always looks like he will. I'm not going to complain though. I don't want anyone messing with my Kyle. He doesn't need that in his life.

"Babe?" Kyle said softly, shaking me from my thoughts.

"Sorry." I said, kissing his lips softly. I started to pull away, but he clung to my pull-over, elongating the kiss. Which I don't mind.

"Good god, you two. Get a room." Rain said as she sat down. This time Kyle tried to pull away, but I reeled him back in.

"Really? You guys are freaking gross." Brandi said as she followed closely behind Rain. I waved them both off, angling my head for Kyle. Rain and Brandi were were the least of our worries, though. Kelsi is the embarrassing friend. She was BAD. Speak of the devil in 3...2..1.

"OH MY GAWD EW!!!" She screamed, grabbing or hair and yanking us apart.

"Heeeyy..." I whined. "Kyyyllee.." I stuck my bottom lip out and gave him my best puppy eyes. He laughed at me.

"You know those eyes don't work on me anymore."

"Dammit."

"WAIT A MINUTE WHERE DID THAT RING COME FROM?!?!?!!?" Kelsi, Brandi, and Rain all screamed at the top of their lungs as Skylar approached the table. I am pretty sure my face upped three shades of red. Kyle tangles our fingers together. I held my hand out, allowing the girls to examine it.

"It's gorgeous." Skylar muttered. This is the first time he has spoken, at all, in weeks.

"Skylar, you spoke." We all said simultaneously. He nodded and walked away.

"Oh my..." I mumbled.

"EEEEEEEK!!" Rain squealed. I forgot to mention that she had this massive crush on Skylar.

"I forgot how sexy his voice was omg!!!" She almost died in front of me.

"RAIN." I said. She shot her head towards me. "Chase the damn boy." Not one more word from her mouth and she was sprinting off. One of Kyle's friends walked over and they started having a conversation about video games. Which I could easily whip both of their asses at. A small smile played on my lips as I found myself leaning closer to Kyle. I was already on his lap, so there wasn't much distance to cover, but I did so slowly. I inched closer and closer until Kyle was looking me. He still continued his conversation, but was holding my gaze as he spoke. I fluttered my eyes closed and waved off the students taunting us, as our lips pressed against each others'. What can I say, we're the cutest couple ever. We get 'Awe!' 'how adorable are they' and 'she's such a lifesaver' all the time. On a daily basis almost. Then, there are the haters. 'Why is she dating that loser.' 'She is supposed to be with David.' Those would consist of skaters and sports jocks. People who think like David. He's an ass. They're all stupid idiots that need to learn to live. But, they aren't my problem anymore. Wait a minute, maybe a little. I sort of run this place. Yes, it sounds awful. But the principal quit showing, and so did most other figures of authority besides the teachers. The teachers can't quit teaching, so I took it upon myself to help the education system. Kyle and I are like hawks, spotting a fight on the security camera, and rushing to end it. We take bullying very, very seriously. We get free access to the teachers' lounge, so we can watch the camera's. Kyle is in charge of the sports and security departments, and I run the education and admission program. Kyle and I have both taken medical classes and received certificates allowing us access to the abandoned nurses office. We plan all of the school functions, using money the state has provided us, since we stepped up and saved the school. Kyle and I have a school dance to plan today.

I pulled away from our kiss, leaving him hanging, both of us smiling. "We have a dance to plan." I said with a small smile. He nodded and we left the cafeteria. We stopped by our lockers, grabbing our textbooks, and leaving them in the teachers' lounge. Then we went around to collect our work packets to work on for the day. We walked into our math class, explaining to the teacher why we were late, and that we are in the lounge for the rest of the week. After collecting all of our packets, I ran by my office(supposed to be the principal's office but..) and grabbed my radio. I was gonna be needed somewhere sooner or later. It was the same almost every day. I plugged a headset into the walkie, so it couldn't be heard by any passing students. I used money straight from my pocket to supply all the teachers with radios, so I could be reached by any of them, wherever I might be. I've almost completely turned this school around. The state pays me quite generously for my work.

"Okay, babe. Let's go watch for those new students." Kyle said, entwining our fingers. I nodded and we walked to the bell room, where we could monitor the dismissal bells, and the doorbell. We keep all the doors locked around her, so you have to be buzzed in. There are some bad folks around town. I paid for this system out of my pocket as well.

Kyle and I sat for maybe 15 minutes before the doorbell sounded.

"Hello, welcome to Dublin High, how can I help you?"

"We're new students, we need to complete registration with the principal?"
